External shutter problem after update

After an motioncam pro update (I think? I didn't notice an update, but the welcome screen popped up again), the shutter button on my Hohem M7 started switching video preview modes instead of starting recording. Is there any way to change it back to triggering the shutter? This is really disrupting my workflow.

Thoughts on Honor in 2026? Software, reliability and ecosystem experience

Hey everyone. With the recent Chinese launch of that Honor Robot Phone experiment, I started getting interested in the brand again. Im really curious how Honor is actually doing nowadays in practice, after splitting up with Huawei.

From what I see on the market, they seem to focus heavily on the midrange and upper midrange segment instead of pushing super high end Ultra or Pro Max models everywhere. How is their software update policy holding up, and whats MagicOS like in daily use? Any annoying issues with background app killing or delayed notifications?

Another thing Im wondering about is hardware reliability and after sales service, especially in Europe and Poland. If something breaks, is it easy to get repaired or is support pretty much non existent?

Also how is the quality of their wearables and ecosystem? In my country the offering looks pretty weak. For watches we basically only have the Honor Watch 6, and the official site literally looks like a placeholder. It feels like a Huawei site copy but with weird contrast and colors, like someone built it in a rush.

Im mainly looking for feedback from the last two years, so people using smething like the Honor Magic 7/8/Pro. Older phones from before the Huawei split are just history at this point and dont reflect how they operate now.

Whats your overall impression of the brand right now? Is it worth getting into or better off sticking to standard mainstream brands?

Georgia trip with X300 Ultra and 400mm.

A few photos I took during my trip to Georgia. Some of them were shot with the 400mm G2 Ultra, so if anyone is curious which ones they are, feel free to ask. :)

I saw some buzz during MWC 2026 about Vivo expanding their ecosystem in Europe with the X300 series, but there’s still zero official info on the global availability of their wearables. Does anyone have insider info or heard any rumors about a European/Global launch?

I’m looking for some answers regarding the Vivo X300 Ultra (Global version).

Vivo equipped this device with the Snapdragon 5 Elite and the FastConnect 7900 module. Both of these components natively support Bluetooth 6.0, LE Audio, and - most importantly - have integrated UWB support. Despite this, Vivo has aggressively disabled these features. It feels like a massive oversight (or a deliberate choice) to lock hardware capabilities behind software on a device that costs €2,000. Is this just a calculated move for the X500 series marketing campaign, where these features will "magically" appear as "new"? Is there any word on these being enabled in future OTA updates? Does anyone know if these features are active/accessible on the CN (OriginOS) version?

It’s honestly disappointing to see such high-end hardware being nerfed out of the box. Would love to hear if anyone has managed to dig deeper into the firmware or heard anything from Vivo support.
