I created OnyxLauncher — a Minecraft Java Edition launcher for Android with mods & shaders support

Hey Minecraft community 👋

I wanted to share my project — OnyxLauncher, a Minecraft Java Edition launcher built for Android devices.

Current features:

✅ Play Minecraft Java Edition on Android

✅ Vanilla support

✅ Fabric, Quilt and NeoForge support

✅ Shader support

✅ Local mods and modpacks support

✅ Game statistics

✅ Regular updates and improvements

The launcher is still growing, and I'm constantly working on better compatibility, performance and new features.

I would really appreciate feedback from Minecraft players — suggestions, bug reports or honest reviews help improve the project ❤️

Does anyone know why I'm having such high installs on the app? Is this a bug or something?

[DEV] Mobile Server http – Turn your Android device into a local HTTP file server (100% offline, privacy-first, zero ads/trackers) + Optional Premium Global Access

Hey r/selfhosted,

Like many of you, I have a strong dislike for public clouds, privacy-invasive third-party apps, and clunky cables when I just need to move files around. I wanted a dead-simple, reliable tool to spin up a local server right from my phone. So, I built **[Mobile Server http](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cannon.mobileserverhttp)\*\*.

The concept is straightforward: you select a folder on your Android phone or tablet, and it instantly turns into a fully-fledged local web server. Anyone on your Wi-Fi network (PC, Mac, iPhone, TV) can just scan a QR code or enter the generated HTTP IP address in their browser to access the files. No client app needed on the receiving end.

**Why it fits the self-hosted ethos:**

* **100% Local & Offline by Default:** Your private data stays in your network. It works completely via your local Wi-Fi router or a mobile hotspot over HTTP.

* **Privacy-First:** Absolutely zero intrusive ads, no hidden trackers, and no data collection/sharing.

* **The "Changes Cart" Feature:** Security matters. If a guest tries to upload or delete a file through the web interface, the action goes to a "Changes Cart" inside the app. It will NOT happen unless you explicitly approve it on your phone.

* **Granular Permissions:** You can create user profiles with unique passwords and strict access restrictions (e.g., Read-only, or device-specific IP blocking).

* **Background Operation:** The server stays rock-solid even when the screen is turned off or when you are multitasking.

* **Cinema Mode:** You can sync video playback across all connected guest browsers (perfect for locally synchronized movie nights).

**Monetization & WAN Access:**

The core local HTTP features are completely free to try with no ads. For users who need to share files outside their local network, I offer a **Premium Global Access** feature. This is a paid upgrade that generates a secure public link, allowing you to securely access and share your files over the internet.

The app is lightweight, active, and supports English, Polish, German, Spanish, and Ukrainian out of the box.

I would love to hear your feedback, technical critiques, or any feature requests you might have!

someone impersonated me in the Play Store

Hello, someone (from the Reddit community) impersonated me on the Play Store. They copied and swapped one item in order to get it to the Play Store. What can I do about it?

I have the advantage of having three published apps, my account has been around longer, I have a website and a GitHub account, and everything about me is in search results.
