Rather new to investing, EnSilica is my choice of ‘risky’ stock, is the activity we’re seeing expected of a company like EnSilica at this stage?

Started investing a couple months ago, I’ve been trying to learn as much about it as possible. Most of my money is in a vanguard ETF and RYCEY, but EnSilica caught my eye and after doing some research I decided it seemed as good a company as any to invest in. I mainly liked how cheap it was, plus its potential, plus the fact it’s not considered a ‘meme stock’.

I’ve got 965 shares at £1.07, it’s been below that for a while, I’m aware I got in late but I’m not too concerned about the constant red I’m in. My main questions are, is this sort of behaviour normal for a company that seems to look really promising? Is the decline from the £1.26 to £0.87 just a price correction? And why does it seem to consistently increase in the morning then decline into the afternoon? Is it a good sign that WSB hasn’t got their sights set on it yet?

I have no interest in selling and cutting my losses, I’m in this for the long term and I’m happy to hold it through red and green, I’m just quite curious to hear from those with more experience!

Winter Mountaineering Courses?

Has anyone got any experience with winter mountaineering courses in the UK, mainly Scotland? Looking to do a course with some friends, we have some decent experience with hiking, scrambling, and climbing. Hoping to learn basic winter mountaineering skills such as use of crampons, self-arresting with an ice axe, navigation, and general safety. At the moment I’m deciding between Mountaineering Scotland and Glenmore Lodge.

Has anyone done any of these courses, any suggestions/things to keep in mind?

What footwear for Peaks of the Balkans?

I’ll be doing the PoB trek this September and wanted some input on what sort of footwear people found most suitable? I usually opt for trail runners, either Salomon XT6 (too slippery on wet rock) or Merrell Moab Speed 2 (very good shoes but offer very little support).

I’m leaning more towards my Merrells but would ideally like something more robust like the Moab 3’s.

What shoes have other people used?

Inherited a banjo, is this a simple fix?

I’ve inherited this banjo from a family member that passed away a couple years ago and have recently started trying to play it. Tuning it seems to be a bit difficult and it goes out of tune very quickly. I noticed the strings change in tension when I put pressure on the neck and realised that the neck isn’t fully tightened.

Is the fix just as simple as tightening those two screws in the first photo?

Invested money on T212 but not in 20k ISA, have I been a bit daft?

I’ve been wanting to start investing for a while now and tried to do as much research as I can. I put £1.4K into T212 in various different stocks and shares, and some pies. I then looked at the £20K allowance on the stocks and shares ISA and realised I should have probably invested that £1.4K in that profile on T212 instead. Should I sell all the shares I have on my investing profile and re-buy them on the £20K ISA allowance profile? Would there be any point in doing this?
