Are there any benefits to 500-1000 size reels for trout fishing

I have a 2500 Daiwa BG, which is full metal and quite heavy which I use for pike, perch fishing.

I recently decided to go and buy an ultralight setup for trout and thought that a 2000 reel might be too big, so I went with a small 800s one from AliExpress (Tsurinoya Kingfisher 800s) and a 0-6g 6" rod from Myran (Myran Myrmecia Trout).

However I read into it a bit more and seems like people say it's not neccessary to go under 2000 and you only lose casting distance and line capacity.

Does anyone have experience with smaller reels and what do you think is the benefit?

Daiwa BG reel replacement parts

Hey,

I recently bought a Daiwa BG 2500 for both saltwater and freshwater spinning in Denmark. I recently wanted to have an additional spool so that I can quickly change lines depending on what and where I'm fishing.

I ran into an issue though. There isn't a single place in Europe I can find an additional spool or any replacement parts for that matter for this reel. Does anyone know any place or website that might have it.

This is the only link I have found and the guys are based in Florida https://www.offshoretacklerepair.com/product-page/j35-6101-spool-assembly
