wordle, but it's just me singing

Hey folks, I built a silly little game where you try to guess what song I'm singing. Each song has 3 tracks or "levels":

  1. Hum the instrumental from memory
  2. Hum the instrumental after listening to the song
  3. Hum the melody / vocals

Let me know what you think! johndle.fun

(btw I'm Gen Z so the songs might be harder to recognize for other generations)

EDIT: forgot to address rule 4. I enjoy doing the actual singing / recording part of the project, so Claude helped me tackle the website and all the technical stuff much faster. The stack it built for me is Next.js + Vercel + Supabase.

johndle - guess what john is singing

Hi I'm John, can you guess what I'm singing?

Each song has 3 tracks / levels:

  1. Hum the instrumental from memory
  2. Hum the instrumental after listening to the song
  3. Hum the melody/vocals

After each track, you'll have a chance to guess the song. If you guess incorrectly, you will be given the next track which gives you a better clue (theoretically 😅).

This started out as a fun little game between me and my girlfriend, and I was curious if anyone else finds a concept like this entertaining. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks!

Hey folks, Bandle inspired me to make my own little game. You try to guess the song, but it's just me singing every track lol. The tracks are:

  1. Hum the instrumental from memory
  2. Hum the instrumental after listening to the song
  3. Hum the melody / vocals

Beginner Pickleball Lessons Near Cap Hill / SLU?

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know of any beginner pickleball lessons in the Cap Hill / SLU area?

Pretty much everything I found online was on Eastside or north of Green Lake. Is it because there just aren't many courts in the area?

Thanks!

Companion care / mobility assistance recommendations

Hey everyone,

I have mobility issues and need someone to help open doors / hold elevators for me. Normally, this is my girlfriend, but she's going on vacation soon and my friends are also out of town.

I'm looking for someone to come help me open doors for a few hours each day so I can go for a walk, do my rehab exercises, etc. Does anyone have any advice/recommendations for where to find a service like this?

Thanks!

Does Anyone Have an Earthlite Sedona? If so, please help 🙏

Hey everyone,

I've been dealing with a bunch of chronic health issues and pain, and the only thing I've found comfortable has been an Earthlite Sedona massage table. Unfortunately, ordering this table online takes 2+ weeks to deliver, and I'd like to get one ASAP for pain relief.

If you already have this table, could I buy it off of you? And I will order you a replacement. I also currently have an Earthlite Terra I could give you as well. I accidentally bought it thinking it was the Sedona lol.

Please DM me if you or someone you know could help, thanks so much!

Hey y’all, posting for my GF because she doesn’t use reddit. We moved here as college new grads, but all the people she knew here have moved out over the past few years.

I know the common advice is to pursue clubs and activities for hobbies you enjoy… she’s tried joining different art classes, a reading club, and volunteer work, but she felt like all those events were so focused on doing the activity that there wasn’t much room for socialization.

She’s also pretty shy, so I was wondering if there are certain clubs or events where people tend to be more extroverted and outspoken to give her more confidence meeting new people.

Regarding her interests and hobbies:

  • Big art gal (does a lot of drawing and painting, but open to learning about other types as well)
  • Loves reading and webtoons
  • Foodie
  • Not good at sports, but willing to learn a beginner friendly sport

And outside of going to events, are there other good ways of making new friends (maybe like Bumble BFF or something?)

Would love to hear all your thoughts, thanks so much!
