Unpopular opinion- short handles aren't ideal for kayak fishing

Last year i decided i have too much $$ tied up in fishing gear and sold off some higher end gear including a loomis 872s spinning rod which has a pretty long handle and went back to my trusty 7'M expride. I absolutely love the expride but i immediately noticed that the handle is much shorter and doesnt quite touch my arm in the same way and i have to hold it against the forearm instead which isnt ideal for many hooksets.

It got me thinking, when your fishing sitting down and cant use your body- having a long handle that you can leverage against your arm is a huge advantage. Most dedicated kayak anglers i know or talk to online seem to hunt for special rods with snubed handles but i think it should be the other way around. Granted i also swimbait fish and my swimbait rods have wayy too long of a handle to sit and fish with but all my conventional rods with slightly longer handles arent at all more cumbersome to fish with sitting down.

Curious what y'all think about kayak fishing and rod handle length.
