ADHD + Depression + how to manage a GLP-1

Hi there,

Looking for help and ideas, but also kindness.

I started a GLP-1 to help with my diabetes, blood pressure, and sleep, and when I started (classic ADHD brain) vowed to do all the “right things” like eating lots of fiber and protein, staying hydrated, and starting working out (and adding weights).

I’m on week 3 of 5mg (the therapeutic dose) and I’m still experiencing nausea. However, I know some of this is because I haven’t got myself together enough to avoid foods that create the nausea.

Does anyone have advice on:

- Easy ways to deal with the nausea (either before it happens or during). If you can tell me what you buy or what you eat, that would be great. I’m a bit overwhelmed by the advice on Reddit.

- how to motivate myself to drink water — I’ve tried electrolytes, flavored water, tracking apps. But I feel like I have an aversion or something

- how to build myself up to do weight training. I’ve been so lethargic for a long time and had some back issues (which I am going to physical therapy for — but not doing the exercises at home)

Ok. That’s all — I’m generally feeling tired from the drug, but want to keep going coz it seems to give an overall improvement if it’s managed properly.

Thanks in advance!

Grouped monthly, weekly, and dailies but in soft cover

I’m intrigued by Sterling Ink’s complete planner where the monthly, weekly, and daily spreads are grouped. I like the idea of less flipping back and forth. But, I don’t like that it only comes in hard cover. It feels chunky from the beginning, so can only imagine how t will be at the end of the year.

Are there any other planner companies that structure their planners with everything grouped?

Mindy Kaling

Does anyone else hate how the press is treating Mindy Kaling’s weight loss?

I’m getting a lot of social about how she lied and says all she did was weight training and walking and eating well. I feel annoyed that people speculate…

I personally don’t plan on telling people and the way they are treating her makes me feel worried.

Skincare advice for starting a GLP-1

Hi there!

I'm about to start a GLP-1 for my diabetes, blood pressure, and sleep apnea... and I have a really worry about my skin (both body and face) looking sunken and saggy. I've read that there aren't really any skincare that can 100% prevent this, but was wondering if anyone here had advice on what had worked for them.

I don't have a huge budget -- right now I'm mostly using Ceravae (daily moisturizer, oil cleaner, and SA renewing body wash and lotion). I also have KP, which I'm hoping the GLP-1 helps a little with!

Would love to hear your experiences!

Hyperfixated on Hobinichi and planner content

Hi there,

I'm looking for advice — I'm currently hyper fixated on planner content, watching hobinichi set up Youtube videos, spending ages looking different undated planners etc.

BUT I'm 95% sure I won't use a physical planner if I buy one, but I'm not sure how to get past the hyperfixation without buying something new. I've tried just using note books and setting them up as bullet journals. I've tried getting excited about digital planning and looking at content for that... but there's something about the nicely designed planners (and the content that people create walking through their set up) that I keep coming back to.

Any advice?!
