I built a team using Kleavor. It's good and fun. I'm pretty sure. Write-up in post

I started a challenge by trying to hit Master Ball with a mono-bug team. In my testing, I discovered how wild Kleavor is. Especially against Zard-Y and Parish Trap teams that move Pokemon in and out thanks to the free Stealth Rocks. It's kinda like Aerodactyl but fun. Also mono bug sucks or I'm trash.

  • Kleaver
    • This is the pokemon that started the team. It's fast, kinda bulk, and sets free Stealth Rocks. It also has Tailwind, which is nice support. I try to set Tailwind, then click stone axe. I mostly bring this against Zard-Y and other annoying flying pokemon. Also it's an easy way to break Focus Sash mons.
  • M-Scovillain
    • I fell in love with this Pokemon. It's bulk and hits kinda hard. I switched from Overheat + Leech Seed to Energy Ball + Flamethrower. Energy Ball can also be swapped for Giga Drain. If they have a lot of physical attackers or Garchomp. Also weirdly good against Glimmora. You can sac it to get burn on Glim to break sash. It also is great against the Staple Remover and Kingambit.
  • M-Skarmory
    • After a few variations and the sheer amount of Whimsicott, I realized having like three or four members weak to fairy with zero answer was pretty bad. I also wanted another mega that was M-Glimmora. Skarm is great against Whimsicott and other fairies in general. Going to test Roar over Taunt for Stealth Rock memes.
  • Rotom-Wash
    • It's solid against a lot of the meta and easy to swap in. I like it against rain and sand teams. It's bulky, has levitate and hits hard. idk what else to say. Also Will-O-Wisp support. I might try Nasty Plot or Rain Dance over Wisp cause Scov providing burn.
  • Sylveon
    • Okay, listen. I know we're seeing this cutie a lot, but like Hyper Beam is so fun. Also I needed an answer for dragon types. I try to pair it with Scovillian either as a lead or in the back. It blows up a ton of mon. Quick Attack is for those stupid Focus Sash users.
  • Farigiraf
    • This slot has going through several iterations. After getting dunked on by M-Blastoise TR teams, I wanted to add a counter. Imprison stops TR and it's funny against other Rotom-Wash where you can Imprison Thunderbolts. It also destroys Sash Glimmora if you use Twin Beam over Psychic. So it checks two very important boxes. A bit more niche, but you can click TR against Whimmsicot that set Tailwind to get speed control back.

I don't really have a specific lead with this team. I'm also not sure how this team works against non-meta teams. I've built it for Master Ball grinding. So there might be some weird niche mons that catch it off guard.

ALSO be on the lookout for Heliolisk with Electrify + Shed Tail paired with Sword Dance Garchomp. I saw it like twice on the ladder today. It's weird.

Tune in next week (not actually next week) where I try to build a team around M-Beedrill. I should probably make a Pokemon specific Reddit account. K Bye.

Only good with one team

Hey! I was curious how many people are like this, but I can only seem to climb with a specific team - M-Meganium TR. I've tried other meta teams, but I just feel incredibly comfortable with these 6. Notably, I do have Sneasler, Kingambit, Basc and Aero on the team, which might be why. But I just struggle with other play styles.

I've had some success on self-made teams, but it varies. Feels like one-tricking a character. To be clear, I'm having a ton of fun with the team and feel like I can get my self out of situations that I'd be totally lost in otherwise.

Just curious how common this is!

Hit Master Ball on a 2nd f2p no pokemon home account. It was fun tuning a team.

Hit Master Ball on a 2nd f2p account. Made my own team. Write up below.

Trick room team using Rampardos as the primary carry. If the opponent is on trick room, Mimikyu just resets and we out speed. If you’re against tail wind, set trick room.

T-Tar Mega: I bring this idiot in most matches but rarely mega evolve her. Just good to have when needed. Knock off is fun.

Helioisk: This dude is an MVP against rain teams. I usually bring him in the back. If I think Basc is going to flip turn, I’ll swap him in to eat the attack.

Espeon: I’ve been struggling with a 6th slot. This move set has been nice tho. People don’t expect rock weather ball into zard-y. Also magic bounce means no sleep powder. Mostly brought against Venasuar. Still tbd.

Mimikyu: Great trick room setter. Also good priority. Kill Garchomps and spreads burn. Mental herb almost guarantees trick room and prevents encore nonsense

Scovillian mega: I love this boy. Switched leech seed to giga drain. Like it a bit more. I’ll bring him in the back most game with t-tar. Burn + sand can chip for a good amount of damage.

Rampardos: this guys hurts. Can one shot fairies. Also has power spread. I had lum berry but switched to quick claw for the rare clutches. Don’t be afraid to click rock slide turn 1 if you think your op will setup.
