Any tips on how to acquire a grooming van?

I have been renting a van for about five years now. The past four-ish months, I have been trying to find ways to acquire a van of my own. They seem to be pretty pricey. A new one runs about $120k. I've been trying to apply for a loan under my newly established LLC, but I think I'm going to scrap that. It's getting me nowhere.

Anyone here successfully get a van or trailer? Any tips on how to do this?

Do you ever wonder if your autistic or just have learned traits?

I definitely have traits that could be deemed as autism. I think at this stage in my life it doesn't make sense to get diagnosed. However, I also wonder if it's just traits maybe I picked up from my mom as I grew up. I'm not sure. Have any of you ever wondered this?

How would you sweeten a gingerbread cookie recipe?

I was in the mood for some gingerbread cookies, but I wanted them to be a little sweeter then they usually are. I asked AI for advice on how to do that. It told me to reduce my molasses and increase my brown sugar. Well, this created a dry, sandy mess instead of a nice, moist dough. I then asked AI how to fix it. It had me mix 2 eggs in half a cup of milk and slowly pour it into my sandy mess while kneading. The finished product has good flavor but the cookies are definitely fluffier then normal, and a bit porous.

How would you have sweetened the dough? If you had a sandy mess, would you have moistened it up the same way?

Is this a good PC for minecraft?

Acer - Aspire XC-1715

My son is turning 16 and wants a PC for Minecraft. A friend of mine gave us an old Dell, but as much as we tried to make it work, Minecraft just won't load. When it does load, it's super laggy. I'm looking for something that will make the gameplay smooth with no headache, but is still affordable. Preferably under $500.

My mom is choosing to be homeless

My mom has lived with me on and off through the years. She has lived on her own for very short periods of her life. She had a toxic relationship that was off and on and she lived with that partner from time to time. On a whim, my mom decided to apply for a position within her company in a town two hours away. She got the job, and starts in two weeks. At first, the talk was that she would rent a room and look at apartments. Then she told me she found a senior living facility near where she will be working. They put her on a waiting list. She asked me how much I would charge her to stay until a home became available. I told her that could be months away, so probably the same that I am charging now. She got upset, shut down and wouldn't talk about it afterwards. This whole thing she is doing is confusing and shocking to say the least, but I was open to a conversation to adjust her rent, but she didn't want to have it. Today she was supposed to meet with someone about a room for rent. I discover that she decided she will be living in her car until a home becomes available to her in the senior facility.

You guys, I'm done. I'm so spent caring for my mom. It's like she's my child and I am constantly trying to save her from herself.

She has always been impulsive and my childhood was a slew of unsecure homes and trauma. When all of us became adults, I became the kid she felt entitled to my home and my money and it enrages her any time i set boundaries.

I texted my brother this morning and told him I quit. I said "Your mother is choosing to be homeless. Call her if you care."

Is my mom's behavior due to autism?

Hi Everyone,

So, my mom is a super hard person to get along with. She is mean and vindictive. She's manipulative and has a very short temper. She asks for a lot, and if you don't give her her way she will ice you out or insult you, and speak poorly about you to the family. She doesn't show appreciation for anything. She doesn't apologize for anything. Without making this post super lengthy, this is a quick idea of what I'm dealing with.

Now, we have had our struggles off and on through the years, especially because she has lived with me off and on through the years. The last time she asked to move in, I was working on setting firm boundaries with her. She wasn't happy about it, and had even said she didn't like the person I was becoming. I inevitably told her I would cut off contact if she couldn't respect my boundaries. She started working on herself, and eventually I let her move in.

She was doing really good being more mindful and kind. I really appreciated her efforts at growing as a person. However, then (about a year ago), she received an autism and OCD diagnosis. Then, all efforts to be kind and considerate were off the table. Everything became "I'm autistic!"

To be clear, the word "autism" wasn't said by the doctor who tested her. He did say she was on the spectrum. However, I'm not sure if those mean the same things or not.

My siblings were quick to not accept her "I'm autistic" excuse for everything. I was trying to be a bit more compassionate. However, just now I tried to talk with her about her communication skills because the shutting me out thing is exhausting. She said her feelings were her feelings and she couldn't help that she is autistic.

What say you? I know I'm not giving a ton of detail here, but I'm genuinely curious if the behavior I have listed could be excused by autism?
