If I get the chance to write an Alpha Flight story, I’d make it about a global super arms race, featuring the Winter Guard, the UK’s the Union, China Force, a brand new Freedom Force, and a conglomerate team representing the European Union. The Master would obviously be involved.

We’ll see the return of Madison Jeffries as Box, Diamond Lil with a power upgrade, the kids from the Seagle run, and pretty much anyone who was a part of the team at one point or another.

There will be an epic magic battle, featuring Shaman, Talisman, and loads of under utilized magic users across the world, with the two biggest pitched battles at the crater in Canada from issue 22, and in Russia, at the site of the Tunguska event.

Both years stories were magnificent in their own way. Both came in and delivered surreal sci-fi, mystical otherworldly weirdness, so no need to downgrade the other to discuss how much we enjoy, or even prefer the other story to the other.

Never read much independent comics from the 80’s, but this is one that popped in my head randomly tonight. What’s it about? Is it good? Does it belong to a shared universe?
