Hats off to everyone who bought tickets to sports they've never seen before!

Including me! We're going to be a part of the world's greatest sporting event! No matter what sport, it's going to be amazing to watch the world's best athletes compete. I know there has been a lot of disappointment about not getting the sports we wanted. I was disappointed too. I had hoped for Artistic Gymnastics, Athletics, etc.., but they were either sold out or out of my reach. I was really bummed, but I realized still get to be a part of an amazing event AND it's an opportunity to learn and follow new sports that I've never considered before. We got mountain biking, artistic swimming, and rugby sevens. I know what artistic swimming and rugby are, but I've never actually seen either. So what?

I absolutely encourage everyone to go look for videos of your sports or the sports you haven't considered. Of course finances are a concern and many remaining tickets are out of reach for many people. But you might be surprised by sports like handball (I was! A fast-paced combination of basketball and soccer! I had no idea) or one of the other remaining sports. I consider it 2 years to learn about and follow sports I never would have before. And be a part of this amazing event! Congrats to everyone who has tickets.

Jackie will forever be honored by Native Americans, as she should be

By federal law, Jackie's remains are being sent to the National Eagle Repository in Colorado. Run by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, all bald and golden eagles found deceased are sent there. Because bald and golden eagles are sacred to many indigenous peoples, Native Americans can apply to receive feathers and other body parts to be used for sacred, religious, and cultural use. For tens of thousands of years, wildlife like bald eagles have been honored by indigenous peoples.

I am so glad that Jackie will become part of ages-old sacred traditions that truly honor these incredible raptors. She deserves to be returned to those who will let her live on and forever be remembered. I love that she will become a part of the deepest history of this land.

Sudden onset of itchy dry skin on face and ears? No changes in diet or skincare routine

A week ago I woke up with itchy, dry skin on my forehead, eyebrows, the skin on either side of my nose (but not my nose itself), upper lip, the sides of my mouth, and chin, and then today I realized it spread to my ears. I can't get a good picture but it doesn't seem flaky, just dry and itchy and when I scratch it or rub it, tiny particles of skin fall. I've never had anything like this before. I'm 53yo female and generally wash my face with cold water and Dove soap. I've tried both Aquaphor and Cetaphil lotion but it doesn't relieve the itching or dry skin. I'm completely baffled by the sudden onset. My scalp itches as well, but I don't have any flakes coming off. I am in perimenopause.

Australia 2028 cruise or land?

Would the chances of catching a cloud-free totality in Australia be better on a cruise or on land? We're working on a budget so the expedition cruises are out of our price range. We didn't want to get stuck in a cloudy, crowded city. What's going to be our best bet here?

Reepicheep (dark gray) and Anonymouse (light gray) have finally moved into their new digs. Unfortunately their brother Calcifer was unavailable on move-in day, hiding in the bottom level of the DCN, but I'm sure he will join them soon. But for now, they are asking "won't you be my neighbor?"
