Google maps vs Ride planning apps?

Went for a ride at the weekend and fancied ticking off another Bike Passport location.

I knew I only wanted to ride for about 45 minutes, but I still found myself bouncing between Google Maps, Google searches and Facebook trying to decide where to go.

It got me thinking...

In my survey so far, 65% of riders say they use Google Maps when planning or taking leisure rides.

If Google Maps gets us there, what actually helps you decide where to ride in the first place?

Mates? Facebook groups? Calimoto? REVER? Instagram? Pure chance?

Genuinely interested in how everyone does it.

How do you decide where to ride?

Trying again as i bolloxed the last post.

I'm a UK rider playing around with an idea for a motorcycle app, and rather than just building what I think people want, I thought I'd ask.

I generally just get on the bike and go, other times I'm headed for a bacon roll. How do you decide?

I've put together a quick anonymous survey about how you ride, what apps you use (if any), what you like, what annoys you and what's missing.

Takes about 5–7 mins if you fancy giving it a go.

Survey

Comments are fine too.

Thanks—would really appreciate the community's input.

Which advanced rider course would you recommend?

I'm thinking about doing some advanced training to become a better, safer road rider. There seem to be loads of options (IAM, RoSPA, BikeSafe, Rapid etc.).

If you've done one, what would you recommend and why?

Engine Revs but no acceleration, any ideas?

I have a hydraulic clutch on my Guzzi. after riding for about an hour or so i've noticed that the bike revs but wont accelerate in higher gears and i either need to ride the clutch a little or change down. last time this happened i came to a stand still as there was no acceleration through any of the gears. could it be old fluid or air in the fluid or viscosity change due to temperature causing clutch to slip?

Is it possible to change the title of a post once submitted?

sometimes my brain runs faster than my fingers so there are typos. dyslexia doesn't help either 👀
