So i bought my first bike 5 years ago, a harley sportster 1200. Its been pretty great but lately I've been wanting something a little more nimble and sporty. I like the retro look of the xsr but I was wondering how much more performance I'd get out of it compared to the sportster.

Is it significantly faster? Do I need to bump up to the xsr900 to really feel a jump in power? My concern with the xsr900 is that I wont really use much of the power on a daily commute where the speed limit doesnt break 55

Most of my riding is in town, I use my current bike as a commuter about 8 or 9 months out of the year and of course for weekend joy riding but its just been feeling stale

I'm sure this has been asked plenty of times here but I'm curious. The fastest ive done on my 1200 is just under 110 mph, probably wont again anytime soon considering it felt really unstable. Honestly even on a flat road with perfect riding conditions 90 is where I start to feel uncomfortable.
