Looking for advice about moving to the Durham/Raleigh area. I’m 21(M) from NE England (Durham) and I’m planning on moving to NC next winter. Just curious about the cost of living, QoL, general safety, and best areas in the research triangle to move to or avoid. I’d be renting for the first year or so, but will have plenty money saved up by then. Finding or being close to work isn’t an issue as I work offshore so only commute once every fortnight. Any help is appreciated. Cheers

This may be a bit niche. I’m looking to move to Calgary or the surrounding area next summer on IEC from the UK. I work in the wind industry and wanted to know if anyone knows the best way to find jobs in the industry in Alberta or how competitive is the market. By the time of moving I’ll have almost 4 years experience as a service maintenance technician on the worlds biggest offshore windfarm, 1 of those years being an Authorised Technician (team lead, carry out isolations, troubleshooting etc.)

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to move to Canada next summer on an IEC. I was just wondering if anyone knows a rough estimate of the best time to apply in order to hopefully have one for the summer (early summer ideally). I’ve done some research but tend to find conflicting information from different sites.
