Bath time/ Shampoo and Conditioner

Hi!

I recently adopted my first Yorkie! She’s estimated to be 8-10 years old, and was a puppy mill breeder release- but she’s getting so much more confident and her little personality is starting to come out!

Anyways, I’ve noticed that about a week and half ish after her bath, her fur has started to get almost greasy feeling/ looking. I’m used to golden retrievers so her fur type is new to me! What do you guys recommend for shampoo and do you use conditioner?

I also wanted to ask about drying off after a bath. I noticed that after her bath she can’t shake the water off very well, and she doesn’t love when I try to towel her off as she’s still uncomfortable with people touching her back end and front legs. I think a blow dryer would scare her, but I’m not too sure as she doesn’t seem to be afraid of loud noises like the vacuum or lawn mower, but she doesn’t like the wind. Have any of you had success with bath robes for your Yorkie? She will let me put on and take off clothes so I thought maybe that could be an option, but I wasn’t sure if they actually worked or not.

I would definitely appreciate advice on this, or if you have any advice about yorkies in general I would love that too!

One last question- does your yorkie play with toys? If so what are their favorites?

Edit: Thank you all so much for the information and advice. And of course the adorable Yorkie photos!
If you guys have links or photos of your favorite products that would be super helpful too!

I have prom tomorrow and I have no idea how i’m going to get through it- please help!

I have HEDS I was diagnosed a few years ago (Yay!)

Hey guys,

I have prom tomorrow and I’m feeling super overwhelmed. On top of prom being hard in general, it’s going to be 80 degrees out! 80! I can barely handle a short walk outside when it’s 80, and we are going to be talking pictures and walking around a garden for at minimum 2 hours in super heavy dresses…

Then we’re going to dinner, then the dance, and then my friend’s house to hang out.

I want to make the best of it, but i’m really scared that I’m going to be miserable. I would love some advice on how to get through the night, and have some fun.

I just purchased a hand held battery operated fan to bring with me for pictures, but aside from that I have no idea what to do…

My main concerns are not having enough energy, being way too hot, my joints hurting, and getting dizzy and/ or nauseous.

I appreciate any and all advice!

I think my hamster has passed- what do I do now?

I wasn’t sure quite how to tag this so I added NSFW- but TW: hamster death.

I adopted a very old hamster 3 months ago- and she has been an absolute darling and is truly my baby, but that’s not the point of this.
Unfortunately, I think she may have passed away. She has been slowing down a lot the past 2 weeks, and 3 nights ago she stopped eating a lot, and her drinking decreased. Last night I left out some hamster pellets in a little line across where she usually walks to get food and they were not disturbed at all and it looked like barely any water was drank- only a tiny bit which is most likely just evaporation.

My question is, what do I do now? I know exactly where she sleeps, in her burrow in the corner. But If she’s not passed on I don’t want to disturb her, and if she is i’m scared of finding her.

I picked up a locking tupperware container from the store a week ago, and I plan on buying her in that next to my other hamster.

I would love some advice on what I should now, and just advice about hamster death in general.

My gut is telling me she’s gone, and I feel so sad about this, but she had the best few months me and I’m so so glad that I got to know her. I actually found her on reddit! Someone had posted about her being at their humane society and I drove 4 hours round trip to get her. I just love her so much💗

Update 1: Going to check on her now

Update 1.5: I’m drinking a gatorade then going to check because I feel a bit dizzy.

Final Update: Grandma Sazz passed away, She was curled up in her favorite place- her burrow, surrounded by food. She honestly looked super peaceful, her eyes were closed and just looked like she was sleeping. I buried her in my backyard in a container with some of her bedding, a piece of my hat that she loved to cuddle in, and some flowers. I only had her in my life for three months, but she will never be forgotten. Please give your hammies their favorite treat and pet from me and sazz💗

Wuthering Heights: What is Joesph saying???

It feels important. I’ve reread it so many times, aloud and I’m getting no where, plus people are starting to think i’ve lost my mind…

Edit: I have read the footnotes. I am new to reading classics and I was just confused and asking for help, please be kind.
