yale

i was admitted as a first year to yale however for i decided to attend another ivy which i am now regretting. ( long story) how difficult would it be to transfer to yale? is it a bad sign that i rejected them initially? would it be ok to use bulldog days as examples for my "why" or is this not a good idea

yale/stanford

truly my only reason for choosing stanford was the weather. i loved yale in every other category. i am now realizing SF is not the year round sunny weather i made it out to be and idk what to expect

ik there's a million of these but i'm so torn and i have to decide today

YALE

Pros: residential colleges, strong built-in community, AFAM house, FGLI support, loved the intellectual/humanities vibe, East African community felt present, smaller campus so it felt easier to build friendships, semester system + longer breaks, NYC/Boston access, loved admit weekend soooo much

Cons: New Haven, far from home (6hrs), cold winters (big concern), scared i might just be picking yale based on all the fun and ppl i met at BDD

STANFORD

Pros: weather, loved the Black dorm community, super close to home (1.5 hrs), laid-back vibe, strong flexibility (quarter system), close to SF/Palo Alto, strong Black alumni network, Orthodox Christian community nearby, good for exploring since I’m undecided

Cons: quarter system feels fast, felt isolated at admit weekend, worried about cliquey/social scene, smaller Black pre-frosh community, campus felt very spread out

Stanford was my dream school for a long time, but I also really loved Yale more than I expected. I’m scared of Yale winters and also scared I might regret not choosing Stanford.... and am only basing this off of admit days?

i'm super thankful to have these options but i am very stuck
