Propagation help please after thrips devastation

Please help me find the correct method to propagate my poor Monstera deliciosa after a horrible thrips infestation that almost killed it.

After battling the thrips infestation for months and moving the plant to the bathroom (with window and grow lights) for maximum humidity, it finally came back to life and blessed me with two beautiful, healthy leaves 🥹

I would now like to start completely fresh and move the propagation to its usual place, but I am anxious doing that, because I don't want to do anything wrong and kill it after all we've been through.

Where do I cut? Do I put the cuttings in water until it takes roots, or directly in soil? Is it too early to propagate, as it has no aerial root yet?

I am thankful for any tips and guidance you can give me.
