We need calls to flood our senators’ offices TODAY to oppose the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Section 1217 - the Israel-US Defense Fusion and Integration plan. We are working on short notice, given that proponents are trying to move this through swiftly, before the public has had time to become aware and focused on this issue. We gather it may come for a floor vote in the Senate as early as tomorrow.
In CA we are attempting a California-wide call blitz, coming off our All CA Indivisibles Senators statewide coalition efforts, and meeting this past Thursday 7/9 with Sen. Schiff’s office. We understand that Sen. Schiff is likely to support this provision, and he should be a primary target of our efforts. Calls will be made by Indivisible members state-wide - let’s make a strong contribution with lots of calls.
