Question about matter/antimatter annihilation

Does annihilation happen with any type of matter antimatter pairing or is it only with specific elements?

Like would annihilation only happen with iron/antiiron, or would it still happen with a pairing like iron/antigold?

(I don't know if antiiron/antigold exists/can exist but I'm just giving an example/

Anyone else feel just as religious as before?

I feel so mentally hellbent on Christianity (and really any faith) being wrong. I feel it for the same way that people/the church in Galileos time had to punish the guy because if he's right then it means their worldview is wrong. I constantly seek evidence to keep my worldview consistent because I feel happy with it, while I refuse any evidence for Christianity being right and actually feel panicked if I feel like I'm "being convinced". And I also have to do the same mental gymnastics the Christians do but in reverse just to keep myself calm.

Is/was anyone here in the same boat I'm in and is it bad if I'm just as religious as a Christian but in reverse?

So I had a dream where I was in a trial chamber and I got an item called a "Light core" or something to that effect, and when combined with a breeze rod it gave you a weapon called a "kicker". I think it looked like a mace but with slanted edge.

It was weak damage wise but it attacked automatically and rapidly when holding the trigger and kept a zombie at bay

Dreams are basically natural AI generated videos and I know what was being combined: it was basically the mace and The Forgotten's (The Binding of Isaac character) bone club mixed with Soy Milk (TBoI item that heavily lowers damage but greatly increases fire rate) it even had the same sweeping sprite the bone club has

Even though it's just dream nonsense, could a weapon like the "Kicker" be something cool?

So my mom brought up something that I honestly don't have a good rebuttal for:

Basically research is biased to whoever funds it (not the same words she said but it was a long conversation and that's the best watered down version I can give)

I use research/what I'm told research says to support my life choices/ to live how I want to. But if I can't fully trust that there's no hidden agenda being pushed on me, can I really listen to any research? Like an example is how the sugar industry pedalled the narrative that fat causes obesity.

Also I'm biased and I know it, I don't want to read the evidence of my way of life/view of the world being wrong because I'm happy* as is/makes the world fun

(*I'm not fully happy (depressed) but I like the worldview I have because it makes me in control of my life)

(My worldview does hinge on Christianity being real/false so I hope this post works here. You guys are nicer than

r/atheism. My mom's not pushing a Christian worldview on me BTW, she's not even one to begin with)
