Looking for pet-friendly short-term housing in Kamloops, 2 weeks in December

Hi everyone! My husband will be in Kamloops for 2 weeks in December for trade school, and I'm coming along with our dog. We're from Vancouver, where short-term rentals are pretty restricted, so I'm not sure what the options look like in Kamloops.

We're looking for:
A furnished place for about 2 weeks.
Dog-friendly (he's a 4kg toy poodle)
Ideally close to TRU or somewhere easy to get to

A few questions:
Are Airbnb/VRBO rentals common and reliable in Kamloops, or are there better ways to find short-term stays?
Do any extended-stay hotels or motels take dogs?
Any neighbourhoods you'd recommend (or avoid) for a short stay?
Any local Facebook groups, websites, or landlords who offer furnished short-term rentals?

Thanks so much for any tips! Happy to hear about dog-friendly walks and trails nearby too.

Lost AirPods- Evo car, near Honeybrew on Howe St.

I don’t really know how to write this post, but I’m hoping someone out there can help me.

Today has been one of the hardest days of my life. I was in the middle of a really painful moment, moving through grief and rushing to get somewhere, and I wasn’t thinking clearly. In the middle of all that, I left my AirPods behind in an Evo car a black case, with a carabiner clipped to it. Something so small, but on a day like today, losing it too just felt like one more thing.

When I tracked the case, it showed up about 4 hours ago near the Honeybrew on Howe St. downtown. I’ve already called Evo and put it in Lost Mode.

If you happened to be in that car, or stopped by that Honeybrew, or work there and came across a black case with a carabiner please, please reach out. I know it’s a long shot, and I know it’s “just” a pair of headphones. But today of all days, having something come back to me instead of slipping away would mean more than you probably realize.

Thank you to anyone who reads this, or keeps an eye out. Even that small kindness helps.

Looking for a somatic therapist downtown Vancouver/Kits or accessible by SkyTrain

HI, I’m looking for recommendations for a somatic therapist based in downtown Vancouver or Kitsilano, or somewhere easily reachable by SkyTrain since I don’t have a car.

Some background is I’ve done a fair amount of traditional talk therapy as well as a few EMDR I don’t struggle with talking about things or insight into what’s going on but I still feel like there’s stuff that hasn’t fully shifted, and I’m hoping a somatic approach (somatic experiencing/ Hakomi Method etc.) might help get at what talk and EMDR haven’t fully reached.

Also open to hearing about other types of healing modalities (psychedelic-assisted therapy, breathwork, whatever else has worked for people) that might be more accessible in the meantime.

Bonus points if they direct bill or take insurance (extended health benefits)

Would really appreciate any names, clinics, or any leads.
Thank you so much.

Costco same-day pay structure/tip

I’m about to use Costco Same-Day delivery for the first time and want to understand the pay structure before I order, specifically how drivers/shoppers actually get paid per delivery, and what a fair tip looks like on top of that.
I’ve seen the in-app tip option maxes out around $1-4, but

I’d like to tip more generously when I can, especially on heavier orders (cases of soda, water bottles, etc.). I’m in a position where this week I have a little extra to spare, and since I’m benefiting from someone’s time and effort, I’d rather compensate fairly than just default to the app minimum.

My specific question: would it be weird to give a cash tip on top of whatever I tip in the app? I’m not trying to start a debate about tipping culture or the ethics of it, I just want to understand how the pay actually works so I can make an informed choice about what’s fair from my end.

Appreciate any insight from people who’ve done this delivery or worked it.
