Do blowback PCCs generally need flow through cans?

So I’m going to suppress a… uh… Masterpiece Arms Defender. 💀 MAC-11 clone. So now I will be going down the rabbit hole of 9mm cans and which one would work best for this gun.

My highest need requirement is just for this gun to be reliable and not gassy. I’m coming from a Flux Raider which I’ve had the unfortunate experience of shooting suppressed before, and basically, I don’t want that sort of experience *at all*. I don’t remember what suppressor was on the gun as it was my friend’s. From what I can tell, I think the Defender “seals up” significantly better than the Raider so either way, I’m sure it won’t be as gassy, but this is still something I want to mitigate.

There’s a company that is going to start selling delayed blowback uppers for MACs. That will be a purchase in the future. But in the meantime, I still want to suppress the OEM blowback upper and I need direction on what sort of tech/products I should look for.

These are lightweight reflex mounted suppressors (go over the barrel). Since an unchopped Gen 1 Scar generally has some workable extra barrel, these seem like cool suppressors for those who don't want to SBR. They're very light and from what I can tell, pretty quiet.

Traditionally, these suppressors are meant for bolt guns simply due to the extra barrel space they have, therefore theres limited data on people using these on gas guns. There is added back pressure, so a Discarder is required here. But I don't think anyone (at least from what I can find) has used one on a Scar.

Low low price of $550. Love this thing on my Hellion, and it turned my MDRX from an F tier gun into a D tier gun.

She told me today after a few months of dating that she was involved in a shooting when she was young, and ever since, she’s always had a bit of a phobia of guns. Including being around police officers who have their sidearm.

I never kept it a secret that I was really into shooting and all that and she never made a deal about it and encourages me to do what I am interested in. But I do keep a loaded rifle by the bed and some others that are hidden throughout the house and don’t want her to feel uncomfortable. I’ve hinted at teaching her how to shoot in the past but she never seemed very enthusiastic about it which is fine, is not a hobby for everyone so I never pushed it.

Anyone deal with something similar? Wondering if it’s worth not making her uncomfortable vs pushing her out of her comfort zone.

Absolutely love the Romeo 8T AMR. The magnifier it comes with is no slouch, but I'm wondering if there are other options. I like to have a little more zoom, and I think magnifiers with built in ballistic drops like from Primary Arms are the future. I know you could hypothetically glue a magnet to an aftermarket magnifier but I don't know anything about magnets to try.

I've heard that Sig might drop a 6x magnifier as theres info within the manual that states so, but it's been a while since this package has dropped and usually Sig is on the ball with pumping out updates for their platforms.

I have to really look for specific discussion about this suppressor but on paper, it seems like almost the perfect .308 DMR/battle rifle can? Can any owners or users of this thing chime in?

- Lightweight while not being titanium at 12.6oz

- Because it's not Ti, it handles muzzle flash very well, so good for night vision (very minimal data on this but positive info for what I can find)

- Low-ish backpressure

- Low POI shift, due to weight

- Arguably the best, most solid mounting interface on the market

- Under $1000 and comes with a muzzle device. Also ships to your door

Only downside that I can find is that it's a 7" long can. It's probably not the quietest 308 suppressor on the market but it does everything else very well. I've been looking for a suppressor for my Scar 17 and this, again on paper, seems like the perfect can.

At the time of writing this, the Sig Rattler/LT are the """best""" short 300blk pistols and SBRs. Yet, the Rattler itself has issues that the APC and other shorty .300s don't have.

The T style charging handle for ARs/MCX is bullshit and it's astonishing to see people still simp for it. It's horrible for suppressed usage as it's an egress right under the shooter's nostrils for excess gas to escape. They have been trying to make gas busting charging handles for over a decade now and still can't get it right. ARs remain the only gun that I've consistently been able to gas myself out with, unsuppressed. The APC eliminates this with the side charging handles, and currently the only other shorty .300s that do this are the Scar 15P and the CMMG Dissent (and some custom built side charging ARs).

I'm a Scar fanboy and no .308 platform will beat the Scar 17, but the 15p is the biggest gun in this list and has an annoying muzzle threading technique that requires extra effort to make work w/ certain muzzle devices. Not to mention the barrel is 7.5" which is on the longer side of compact 300blks. The CMMG and side charging ARs are direct impingement which nobody wants to deal with.

The only issue that I see with the APC300 is that the shortest configuration has an 8.7" barrel. That's a bit too long for what myself and others are looking for in a platform like this. If B&T released an APC300 with a 6.5" or something barrel, I think the market would eat it up. Moreso if they made an APC300 SD-Compact with the same barrel.

I'm looking at the APC10 as a suppressed, subsonic shooting gun. Specifically because a 240gr ~1017fps load has more ft/lbs of energy than 45ACP and 300blk subs.

I've seen some concern of these 240gr loads (HSM Magnuforce 240gr) being unreliable in semi autos due to the overall length of the bullet. Wondering if anyone has tried one in their APC10?
