notes -

  1. Had to cut down the initial 5 minutes where dice roll and card pull was performed to determine the prompts
  2. Audio quality might not be upto the mark so feel free to use headphones if you are interested in my thought process
  3. video is a tad bit long - 20 min for reddit platform maybe, so feel free to fast forward in case just want to watch the conclusion

Solo RPG Drawing - Video

Hi All,

Did a solo RPG session of this game "The Lighthouse at the edge of the universe", it was a relaxing one.

I normally do that with a nice textured paper and a fountain pen ( brown ink suited the yellow mood light). Anyways wanted to share a small drawing and my monologue along with that. I like to hold a glass of scotch , slowing down at the end of the day. The game is well written. I believe from that perspective. Its not a drawing game , but a journaling one. I normally like to play the game in the spirit it was intended ( cards , dice etc), but this session was free style, what strike good in the moment that would prompt me to add to my story.

Would love to hear or talk about what games you are playing to shift your thinking process or outlook.

Updated renforge - open source bulk file rename utility

added new features to this open source project , renforge its a bulk file rename utility, stand alone non AI project, if you work with rendering or bulk images you might find it helpful.

I’m a solo game developer and recently started working on a typing game with a bit of a twist. While setting it up for itch, I realized I’d need a global leaderboard. Most options I found felt too heavy for a small project, and you have to sign up with cards etc.

So I ended up building my own lightweight leaderboard as service - calling it light leaderboard , yeah app name creativity is not my forte. You can easily add it to your games via api.

It’s got some fun extras like webhooks (so you get pinged if someone beats your score), a “best of mine” mode (since typing games are often about beating yourself), team play etc.

Funny enough, I ended up finishing the leaderboard before the game itself :). It’s a small feature, but I’m proud of it and hope it helps other devs too. One game slot is always free.

▲ 1 r/SaaS

Hey,

Proud to finally released my first SaaS product as solo dev, its leaderboard as service for game devs. It took a lot of polishing and feels like last few days is just about small details. I am a developer by heart so the next phase - Sales is scary to me :)
