Ok, they’re still pretty beefy, but at 5” they’re the runt of the family. Stoked on this RTS score. 365 stitchdown 64 Mahogany hiking boot.

Per the size chart I’m a 12EE and my other 2 pairs of Nicks are that size. I took a chance on these 12E HNW, and they seem to fit very well even with the full delta arch insert. A little tight in the instep, but I think that’ll loosen up.

I have a MTO 1925 in the works and wanted to get these to see if I should stick with the 12EE on the 1925 or switch to a 12E. Hopefully I’ll get to break these in well enough before the change window to help me decide. My 12EE do have a bit of extra room in the heel that I’ve learned to live with, but maybe 12E is better for me after break in.

And I know about the kiltie. Trying both options

Appropriate beach footwear

Hey friends. Thought I’d start with a family photo to help guide your welcomed advice. I have an office job and wear business casual most of the time. Blue jeans or tan khaki pants. I commute on a moto frequently in the summer, which started me down this boot rabbit hole.

All of these boots have been quick ship purchases, no MTO. So I decided to build my own biz casual boot - 1925 black oiled latigo moc toe (last pic). It’s still waiting to be started, but this last run on WC has me second guessing.

For the longest time I thought my MTO boot would be WC burgundy. I love that deep rich color. Also love the walnut. My financial situation has also changed recently so this is the last boot for the foreseeable future. Which brings me to my question. Do I keep the black cause it’s the definition of a tried and true classic boot, or do I go burgundy or walnut and have just do cxl later if I want to do a black boot?
