Your screenshots, your icons, your everything is totaly fine..

... I spent hours in Appstore, doomscrolling and what I see that apps with ugly icons, ugly screenshots, ugly everything outperforming apps with great creatives.
What you lack is to provide external installs on start. Screenshots, icons, creatives will not save you if nobody even see it

I've made an app for anglers to recognise fish

So I have made an app for anglers to help them detect fish species, messure size and weight. It contains also tools for creators, they can share the fish on social media + various fishing tools like:
-solunar (moon forecast)
-fisheye (how the fish see their bait under the water)
-bite alarm (accelerometer/gyroscope, mount iPhone on road iPhone special mount to hear the bait)
-barometer
-recasting time to change the bait
-knots&rigs
It contains also fishing journal, to add their spots, photos, notes, baits info, etc. Stats, trophies, summaries.

  • A – Answer: What problem does your app solve?

Main problem is offline fishing model. I've used offline model, re-trained and converted to CoreML. That's why when angler is outside the 5g range, he don't need to have access to the internet.

  • B – Better: Why is your app better than the top named alternatives?

There are much better apps than my, but I've observed anglers send 1 star rate to competition just because other identifiers work online and someone on the boat cannot check what fish he have. I've also added the creator for fish photos, where you can recognise species, weight, size, instant blur your face and post for example on subreddit for anglers.

  • C – Cost: Pricing, IAP details, and a direct App Store link

Well:
$4.99/week
$19.99/m
$89/year
+3 days free trials. It's hard paywall, but it's not permited by rules of this subreddit to give limited promo codes ;/

I've made app for anglers (iOS) to recognise the fish with OFFLINE AI

Problem anglers have usualy, when they are outdoor, no internet so normal AI detectors stop working. 1 month free for this community. Then you can cancel if you want, any moment. Detecting 700+ fish species. Regulations, weight / size messure, solunar, catches journal, tools like "what fish see underwater" to see if your bait is visible.
500 codes for free month for just this community:

Your Magic Crap for helping developers in marketing is just SH%T

Whenever I ask, or I see people ask about ASO, promotion, marketing.
3-10 guys appear instantly with their "honest" advice and meantime their including some magic tool for:
-ASO
-app discovery
-app promotion
When you enter that tool, it's barely even indexed in Google and looks like micro SaaS made with Claude in 30 minutes.

How these spammers are not removed from here.
Parse streams and other guys, why they are still here? 😄

Starter stories, youtubers, etc. but nobody told...

... when buy the Mac, iPhones, make apps already and publish
In 99% you will end with 2 downloads/day even with perfect ASO made with Astro.

TikTok? Of course, made 10 videos already, got maybe 10k views and... traffic is zero
TikTok itself is crowded by app makers trying to reproduce starter stories
Reddit? They will ban you on 99% subreddits. If you publish app like hundreds of people on subreddits dedicated to apps, nobody will install it. The audience is creators trying to push their app too.
Search Ads? They will steal you $4 for... tap, not install.

Well, I am making new app again, when the content is useful for niche and user generated content can push it to socials. Not giving up, but what I want to say

Starter Stories and Youtubers are liars!

I was making apps for Android 10 years ago, it was something like even 100k downloads/day
Currently on iOS and I cannot even hit 10 people /day

How you get your initial 100 installs? Tried on Reddit but it's...disaster

So I've got the app in the Appstore. Got 20 installs in first day and now 2-3 / day
Tried to promote it on reddit, but here on 1k views, usualy I have 0 installs and it's ending with ban on subreddit.
Things like iOSApps where people advert their apps are crowded. Nobody actualy is installing these apps, they are here only to increase comments karma.

Idk where to go, maybe TikTok / Instagram?

[iOS] Built an app to stop you at the door. Addicted to energy drinks, cookies, coffe or worse? This app stop you with notification at the door. Tracking your savings, goals and showing you how much you save... or loose

I've made the app ... for myself. Energy drinks like monster, chocolate, cigarettes, every day, week after week, month after month. The same store, "quiting tomorrow" and tomorrow never happens.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/shopping-list-donotbuy/id6768998073
Most apps log impulse buys after the damage. DoNotBuy buzzes you at the door — before you walk in, before you swipe, before you regret it. It is not just expense tracker

Every day you tell yourself: no more coffee. No more energy drinks. No more sweets — or worse. Hours later you're walking to the store on autopilot. You buy. You regret. You promise yourself... starting tomorrow. It doesn't work like that. You need an app that stops you before you walk in.

You don't have a willpower problem. You have a timing problem.
The decision to walk in happens before checkout. DoNotBuy alerts you the second you reach a flagged store — while leaving is still free.

THE PROBLEM WITH IMPULSE TRACKERS
Spending journals show you what you already lost. Craving logs ask you to record damage you can't undo. By the time you open them, the receipt is sitting in your inbox.

DoNotBuy works the other way. Drop pins on the stores that drain you. The next time you walk near one, your phone buzzes with a clean, honest reminder of what you're really there for — and what you'd rather keep.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Add the stores where you slip — corner shops, coffee bars, drive-thrus, anywhere your card comes out without thinking.
  2. Track the items you keep buying and never need. Coffees, takeaway, energy drinks, midnight snacks.
  3. Set a savings goal — what you'd actually rather have at the end of the month.
  4. App does the work in the background. The second you cross a geofence, you get one quiet notification: stop, you've already saved this month. Want to keep going?
  5. Tap "Resisted" or "I bought". No shame, no streak guilt — just honesty.

Claude Code CLI for normal users will work. I don't get agentic SDK drama of some people

This was tool always for coding, making tasks on personal PC, speed up your work in programming, last days in Adobe, Office, etc.
It was never a tool to manage your servers, APIs, polymarket or huge data in autonomic way.

So I am happy that Anthropic cut these vampires from GPU and normal users can get higher quality for their fair usage.

Want to do autonomic agents to manage infrastructure, pay for that or go to some Chinese local model

Should users be banned? If Anthropic wants to be the next Google, meaning revolutionize the internet and the way computers are used. Should users be banned?

I've been reading a lot of horror stories lately about people getting banned for stupid things like "research work," standard usage, or simply security research.

Who decides? Exactly, the model. Then you get banned without the possibility of appeal because same model read appeals. Sure, people create new accounts, but it's only a matter of time before Claude Code collects device fingerprints. Perhaps it's already doing so.

Should Claude Code even ban people? Regardless of what they typed, what they asked, what they programmed, it's the model's fault for allowing such work to happen. Not the people's fault.

I could understand if it were a private model with a few users, but not something that impacts the entire IT and internet.

Such bans give the company disproportionate power.

It's like someone banning you from Google Search.

I haven't been banned myself yet, but it's starting to piss me off.

▲ 18 r/mac

I have bought mac mini 1 week ago.
Get used to all these shortcuts, windows managment. I have KVM, switching to Windows sometimes and catching myself "where is my command+m, where is my command+space, where is my screenshot shortcut".
Honestly, tried aerospace and different tiling managers of Mac and it was disaster.
The best for me is native managment. Fast, effective, productive.
