Owen

Watching this show when I was younger I thought Owen was one of the ugliest men I had ever seen lol. Now that I’m older I think after probably Mark I would choose him second. Jackson is attractive but Owen has this presence about him that is manly. Jackson is still young and boyish at times. No I don’t always like Owen as a character but I’m more talking about his sexual appeal. I honestly would choose Owen over Derek in looks now. Especially when Owen was Chief and started dressing in suits. I don’t know what it is but Derek never did it for me. He’s a good looking man of course but he just didn’t do it for me. I was just watching the scene where the big guy was attacking people in the ER and Owen knocked him out and I said yeah that was kinda sexy 😂( and before anyone starts yes I get he is hated on this sub but I can separate the two because I’m definitely not a fan of most is his ways).

No why would they make him say that . . . 🤭

Charles was pretty annoying when he was actually on the show but his death was pretty sad and then they made him say this, this whole episode was pretty wild though 🤣

Burke and Cristina’s ending

I always thought that even if Isaiah Washington hasn’t been fired I still wouldn’t have wanted him and Cristina to have gotten married. Because that speech when he left her at the alter was perfect because that pretty much was exactly what their relationship was. Burke constantly wanted Cristina to do what he wanted when he wanted( yes Cristina needed to be more open because she was in a relationship but she liked doing things in her time) and when she wasn’t ready he would pressure her or threaten to end the relationship or with hold surgery. He knew what kind of woman she was but wanted to change her. Of course Owen tried changing her too but at least Burke understood that just because you love someone doesn’t mean you’re meant to be together. I still would have hoped that they did the ending to S3 like that whether the actor was fired or not.
(And before anyone starts yes I know Isaiah Washington suck but I’m talking specifically about the character he played).

Macy dealing with racism

I was thinking about a comment I heard while watching S3 when Macy was crying in Harry’s arms about what she went through with the woman in the Shea board. Someone said Macy based one bad experience off of everyone in the world and that’s not true. Macy stated in S1 that her dad sent her to a predominantly white school with only one other black kid and basically the kids told her what kind of black girl she was supposed to be. In the episode where the angels came through the tv, Macy admitted to being bullied so bad and it was probably by those same kids. In college the guy who grabbed her and told her to “twerk” for him. When Macy and Jordan were in the backyard talking about other experiences they have dealt with being light skinned. Macy didn’t just go through one bad experience with racism. No Macy didn’t mean she would just stop helping people even when people have been bad to her and not everyone in the world is a bad person. Hearing things like that from the time you are a kid to a present is not easy and I just think some people shouldn’t speak on things they don’t know about.

This Song

Every time I hear this song I always wished it could have played in the reboot. S2 isn’t particularly my favorite but it did have moments I liked and no matter what I still love this show and I think this would have fit with the vibe of S2, maybe around the time of Maggie’s engagement/wedding to Parker.

What are your thoughts on this comment?

I saw this on IG on a video of Carrie when she came to apologize to Natasha. I don’t understand how Natasha was supposed to know Big didn’t love her when they fell in love in Paris. If Big is walking around acting like he’s in love with Natasha why wouldn’t she believe that he loves her. I don’t think that was her being naive if Big is being dishonest about his feelings, Yes we know Big didn’t love Natasha, Natasha just looked “good on paper” and yes he admitted his marriage wasn’t working before he started cheating with Carrie and maybe the marriage would have ended anyway but we don’t know that. Big and Natasha could have worked it out but the cheating absolutely contributed to the end of the marriage. Natasha had her suspicions and she even admitted it. But when someone cheats and you suspect a lot of the time people are afraid to know. And I don’t get the woman always blaming the other woman instead of men, I and I’m sure most fans fully hold Big just as responsible the only difference is we didn’t get to see it the way we saw this interaction. I blame Big even more because he was the one dishonest and made vows to her. And the fact the person who commented this says woman are always blaming other women and she’s blaming Natasha for Big’s actions lol.

Richard

I was young when the show was actually airing and came across it by the time I was maybe 12. Social media wasn’t a thing the way it is now. And I’m curious if people really thought he was sexy. They tried so hard to make Richard seem sexy. But that man had sex appeal of a potato lol. I get that a lot of men on the show didn’t have sex appeal but it most of the men were not supposed to be seen as sexy. Attractive but not sexy( even though a majority of the men weren’t attractive imo.) But Richard seems like he was intentionally supposed to be sexy but he wasn’t it.

I tolerate him as a character for the most part but I thinks he is fine

I really am conflicted about how I feel about Harry as a character because after S1, in S2 he was pissing me off, by S3 it like they were trying to get him somewhat likable again but it was difficult because of him much they stained his character in S2. But aside from me not liking his character some of the time I still can’t help but think this man looks good lol.

One of my favorite closing credits of an episode for me

I feel like most girls have done something like this at some point in their house alone I know I have that’s probably why this is one of my favorite endings on the show because one minute she’s serious giving up modeling and the next she just goes this goofy shit lol 😂 (side note I also wonder what she was doing on the other side of the door until the credits ended lol)

I feel like they should have said something different for Alex

This is funny but Alex only had one mentally unstable girlfriend Rebecca. Izzie was never mentally unstable she just had cancer and neither was Lexie. Yea Lexie lost it for a while after the shooting but Meredith even says Lexie isn’t crazy she had a crazy thing happen to her. That one doctor he dated who stole his job wasn’t crazy just a jerk lol and Jo wasn’t crazy she had issues with but that was because her husband used to hit her. So Alex really only had one unstable girlfriend.
I don’t know too much of the seasons after Cristina left but was it Amelia that Owen wanted kids with and she didn’t because it wasn’t Teddy because don’t he and Teddy have kids?

Maggie’s Panic Attacks

I was rewatching S2 E19. I’ve never been a big fan of Sarah’s acting on the show. In S1 she did good job of being the sorority girl, self centered 19 year old. By S2 when she tried being more serious it was just not working most of the time imo but there is one thing I felt she did ok and that was portraying having mental issues especially dealing with panic attacks. And I really liked the scene where she was in the woods with Mel and Ray and cried about how she wanted Ray to be more of a father. Some of those scenes with Maggie dealing with her issues I liked because I could tell to having anxiety and I just thought she did pretty good with her performance it’s one of my favorite episodes of S2. (And I never realized that episode was directed by Rupert and it just me like it more lol)

Posting Lately

Has anyone else noticed it seems only content from the OG sub are getting posted on this sub lately I’m assuming maybe it’s it because of restrictions from the OG sub or new people who don’t know the difference between the subs or something because it has been the only posts lately and it’s not just from one person it’s a different user every time. I’m not saying that’s can’t but seriously if those posting want more OG they probably would have a better engagement on the actual sub for the OG show.

Seattle Grace Mercy Death

That has to be the most realistic thing ever on Greys because I swear, I rewatching Bailey being upset about the plane crash survivors suing the hospital and it always made me not understand how Bailey could be so upset over the plane crash that messed up Derek’s hand to were he almost wouldn’t be a surgeon anymore, Arizona lost her leg, and Lexie and Mark DIED. They lost people and things they were never going to get back and she could have found another job. No one on the plane was no one to her they were people she knew for years and some of them she was friends with and they potentially all could have died. I get maybe Bailey loves her job and loves the hospital but after everything that happened with Bailey that effected her personally, her husband in a car accident potentially dying the same day she was given birth and a bomb, her favorite resident that she named her child after getting hit by a bus, The SHOOTING. Then the plane crash which she should have been effected by. Her and Derek had this friendship for a long time. Meredith and Cristina were like her kids, Arizona was her friend and mentor, hell even her and Mark had a good little repertoire with each other. The only one she wasn’t that close to was Lexie but it’s not like she didn’t know Lexie at all. At that point I wouldn’t have minded not working at that hospital if it closed, they could burn that mf down for all I would care if I were her (jk😂)

Hahn/Cristina

The fact that Hahn wouldn’t teach Yang was annoying but you objectively say ok she doesn’t have to interact with Yang at work. But the fact she was in her apartment acting as if she didn’t have to even really acknowledge Yang in HER apartment was crazy. I’m not saying Hahn had to be her friend just because Callie is and I get Callie paid rent and could have guests over but Hahn could have at least said hi to her. And Cristina isn’t going to say anything because she’s trying so hard to get Hahn to like her. (And side note I’m realizing Callie is rich so why does she live with Yang sleeping on the couch at Burke’s old apartment. Maybe she was lonely but I’m sorry if I have the kind of money Callie had I’m not sleeping on nobody’s couch 😂)

Frank ?

It’s my first time on this sub but I was doing some research on the show about characters and people really seemed to hate Frank. I adore Rupert Evans as an actor but found his character and Juliana and Joe to be weak leads they have the personality of wet mops lol. I can barely even hear Juliana when she talks.
I get the Smith and Kido being favorites. But I’m curious what people hate so much about Frank. Not that Frank should be considered a fan favorite because like I said as much as I love Rupert Evans I’m just curious because I didn’t care for his character much.

Early Mel and Harry

This is one of my favorite scenes because I love Mel and Harry having this kind of banter. Mel is really like “ugh not this mf again.” And Harry was such a dork( I understand he was supposed to be trying to insert himself into her life but this was not making it any less creepy) he was asking Mel to tell him over lunch or whatnot the reasons she doesn’t like him. I would have been like boy if you don’t get away from me 😂

Lane’s Song

Rewatching I forgot Brian wrote a song for Lane when her own bitch ass boyfriend wouldn’t and acts jealous because Brian wrote a song for her when he should have. And then ruined their chance at possibly getting signed because he was jealous Brian was being a better boyfriend than he was in that moment. He purposely fought writing a song with her name only to get upset when Brian found a way to do it. (Sorry about the first picture of Brian looking crazy it was hard to get a good picture with the subtitles lol)

Can I just say . . .

The scene where Meredith tells Derek he doesn’t get to call her a whore will always be iconic but I hate how after when Derek is still treating her like shit and then the next real time they have a conversation, Meredith gives it up at the prom to him in the exam room without so much as at least an apology. He’s basically saying he jealous but that isn’t good enough. Like bro you lied to me about having a wife for months and then made me feel bad for me being upset you didn’t make a choice then got back with your wife and flaunted in my face. And proceeded to get upset every time I was with any other guy. Because he didn’t deserve no nookie with the bare minimum of an apology at that point. That man deserves to grovel profusely before I ever spread my legs for him again. But I digress it is still more entertaining the way it was handled in the show 😂😂
