Scary shots...any experiences?

Out of the blue I found out I am pregnant at 40, and I found out the morning of my IVF consult. Due to recurrent miscarriages the IVF doctor prescribes an injectable blood thinner and injectable progesterone...the progesterone is a gigantic long needle.

I never went through the IVF process so I never got used to injectable medications.

Can anyone give me any insight on how bad it is, if it gets easier over time, or how much this hurts?

It's a very high risk pregnancy and we may be back to IVF if this fails, any insights would be appreciated!

What were your results of egg retrieval at 40?

I just turned 40 and about to start IVF.

I understand attrition rate can be high.

What were your results of egg retrieval around 40?

Has anyone eliminated the bumps?

I understand that the condition isn't curable, but has anyone had treatment to the point where bumps are no longer visible?

I've used amylactin daily for two months and although the bumps are smoother and some are smaller, they haven't actually gone away.

If you've been able to actually eliminate some bumps, what did you do?

Has anyone tried surrogacy?

Trigger warning - mention of pregnancy loss

I will soon be trying IVF at age 40, and I'm worried after two natural miscarriages (one was twins at 10 weeks with a confirmed heartbeat and no genetic anomalies found) that I have some type of blood issue or inflammation issue that will make a pregnancy fail.

Has anyone tried surrogacy? I've heard that there are programs in Mexico that I may actually be able to afford.

What would you do?

I turn 40 his week. Husband is 55. Husband and I miscarried twins 15 months ago conceived naturally, genetics tested normal so we don't have any answers.

We've been trying to conceive for over a year but nothing has happened. To be honest I never knew about ovulation tests and just found out from testing that I might be ovulating but it's at random days....4 days after a period begins, the other time was 8 days after...sooner than what is typical. Periods are coming regularly every 31 days.

I am starting to have signs of perimenopause or at least aging...the hair on my arms has disappeared, I am starting to notice a bit of peach fuzz on my face. Sometimes I have symptoms of ovulation like cervical mucus or feeling in the mood and sometimes there's not so much some months.

My OB says we should try to conceive naturally for six more months using the ovulation test strips as a guide.

Would you go straight to IVF or continue to try and get pregnant naturally?

Venting - irrationally hostile sellers on ebay

Ok, I'm venting. Why are so many eBay sellers needlessly hostile? Edit: I am also a reseller.

So I want to buy a rug, they have it at $250 make offer, I message them and offer $200.

I have a gift card in my account from capital one shopping and I'd like to apply it with my credit card as a payment, whereas the eBay make offer feature would automatically charge my credit card on file for the full amount if they accept.

So I ask the seller if they find my offer acceptable, can they lower the price and I will check out with my preferred payment.

Seller accuses me of wanting to "make a side deal" with a gift card and states I need to use the eBay make offer feature only. Then they ghost me when I try to explain that I am trying to check out manually. I mean this rug sells new for $300, it's not really a steal or anything. But it would be nice to use my gift card.

Oh, another time I was interested in buying sunscreen from a different seller. I ask a question about the expiration date, and they contact me accusing me of getting their listing taken down because apparently someone reported it for reasons unknown. They start sending me random lines of text that I assume are insults but framed so only they understand the meaning. I mean what the hell...it's sunscreen.

Is this a boomer thing or something? Is this a consequence of being from the lead paint generation? I am also a reseller and I am not hostile like this to random people interested in my stuff.

...Stepping down from my elder millennial soapbox now.
