I haven't been to Pakistan in 20 years and went recently, maybe it's different because I stayed mostly in Kashmir, but did visit a lot of Pakistan.

What happened to all the buses, trucks?? I hardly saw any of the big flashy buses and trucks. Hardly heard any of the horns that I used to hear all over the place.

When I went 20 years ago, the buses and trucks where everywhere, loud musical horns going off all over the place. It felt so much different this time, quiet, hardly anyone pressing their horns. Driving felt a lot different, like it was wrong to press your horn like you normally would.

What happened??

I collect stuff and one of my collections is leather slippers. I fell in love with how comfortable they are and how long they last, if you wear them in the house.

These are not ordinary leather slippers, they are Pakistani Khussa, which are a traditional leather shoe/slipper.

Some of these are pure leather and others have gold or silver stitching and are Buffalo, Cow or Camel leather.

I've started the process of going through them all and going to start making cotton bags. Currently they are just in cardboard shoe boxes. But I'm really worried about dry rot.

Some of the ones I used to wear are pretty much destroyed now and unwearable the leather inside is probably beyond recoverable because of how dried out and cracked it's become.

Any advice on long term storage of these so I don't destroy the ones I have. I probably have several lifetimes worth, but still. lol

I don't think I would have ever discovered 2 of my favourite games that I still play to this day if they weren't bundled with one of the first computers I bought. Ceaser 3 and Baldurs Gate,

Maybe I would have discovered Baldurs gate in the last few years since 3 came out and became so popular, But I doubt it would have been as impactful playing it now and wouldn't have sent me down the rabbit hole discovering Baldurs gate 2, icewind dale, Neverwinter Nights.

Ceaser 3 I played so much I doubt I would have ever discovered it if it wasn't bundled with the computer, which led me to playing other city builders like SimCity4.

What games do you think you discovered purely by chance and probably would never have discovered otherwise?
