I severely stutter, and my wife heard about this U.S. National Parks pass that's available FOR FREE FOR LIFE to "citizens or residents of any age that have been medically determined to have a permanent disability (does not have to be a 100% disability) that severely limits one or more major life activities."

Documentation details:

"Along with a valid photo ID such as a US passport, driver’s license, or state-issued ID, you must provide documentation of permanent disability with one (1) of the following:

• A statement by a licensed physician. Statement must include that the individual has a permanent disability, that it severely limits one or more aspects of their daily life, and the nature of those limitations.
• A document issued by federal agency such as the Veteran's Administration, Social Security Disability Income or, Supplemental Security Income.
• A document issued by a state agency such as a vocational rehabilitation agency."

I simply asked my doctor to write a brief letter explaining that I have a permanent disability that seriously affects normal life functions (he didn't even specify the exact disability), and it was approved within just a few hours of submission. I'd highly suggest checking it out.

I chuckled when I saw at checkout that the pass expires in the year 9999 :).
