Apparently I Owe Her a Deal

I just posted a repop for something that, heartbreakingly, isn't my correct size. I priced it at $45. Within 2 minutes of posting, I got a lowball offer and politely declined. They felt some kinda way about it.

Either she blocked me so she could get the last word or the app isn't working, but I just needed to send my response somewhere. 😅

The response I can't send is:

  1. that's not accurate
  2. even if it were, I'd then be losing money to resell
  3. I've been looking for this specific dress for a year, it's hard to come by, and the only other one i can find anywhere is going for $80 Canadian
  4. no means no

Pronoun Respect

For those of you who use multiple pronouns, they/them, or neopronouns, who do you find are best at respecting your pronouns, and who do you find is the worst?

For me, people in my personal life are tremendous about it, people I work with in my union and other activist organizing spaces are really good about it, and almost 0% of people at my job ever use my pronouns, despite the fact that they've been in my email signature since I started 4 years ago and I frequently wear pronoun pins.

How Do You Collect/Track?

I'm curious how other perfume hobbyists keep track of their wishlist. Do you have an actual wishlist you're working through?

I have a massive sheet listing them with dominant notes and how much a sample costs, plus a priority scale.

Scrobbling Issue

I use Deezer and auto-scrobble from there. Historically, anything I listened to on there scrobbled to last.fm within an hour. However, over the last week, my scrobbles are taking up to two days to show up, or disappearing entirely. Anybody else having similar issues? Is this Deezer specific?

Petra Fragrances

Wow. I'm No perfume snob, and I have come across some saver brand dupes that have been fine to good. But I ordered a little sample set from Petra on a whim after seeing a promotion on Instagram. This stuff smells cheap and horrid, although the good news is that it only lasts for about 5 minutes. 🫤

Top 10 Fragrances

I love getting a sense of a perfume fan's "profile". It's an interesting angle to get a sense of a person. Please give me a list of your top 5 or 10 perfumes, as well as your favorite notes or "vibes". Lastly, if someone's list has a lot of overlap with your own taste, maybe make a reccomendation or two!

I love an incense and spice-forward perfume, especially if it tells a spooky or witchy story. I love earthy and fungal notes. I love a weird note, and a scent that's possibly challenging.
My top 10 are:
Arquiste - Indigo Smoke
rag&bone - Oddity
Zoologist - T. Rex
Maison des Animaux - Nocturn
Prissana - Haxan
Fulton & Roark - Devil's Garden
Andrea Maack - Coven
Fort & Manle - Borjnokopff
Parfums Quartana - Ierofante
Le Labo - Thé Noir 29

Arquiste Nocturnality

I recently got a travel-size of Nocturnality. I was really excited to try it because Arquiste makes maybe my favorite perfume of all time, and I love a "masculine" rose scent. I like Nocturnality, but there is an astringent/chemical element that I can't quite put my finger on. It reminds me of aldehyde (which I personally loathe), but it's not quite the same, and doesn't trigger the same headache response. Does anybody know what this could be? Is this the "neoprene" note, perhaps?

I'll probably finish this travel size, but not order this scent again, as I suspect it may be stronger and more caustic to people around me than I'd like.
