Cannot get new PSU to boot my motherboard, but they appear to be compatible. Please help me.
Below are my PC specs.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Six-Core Processor
GPU: SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7700 XT
RAM: 16 GB
SSD: 1 m.2 - 235 sdd for windows
4 sata - 465 GB
PSU: Corsair RM850x gold (New)
Corsair CX750 bronze (old)
Motherboard: ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0
Monitor: 3440 X 1440
Case: Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
My old Corsair CX750 started making whistling noises and it made me decide to upgrade my PSU. It still works and still powers on my pc without issue, but it's well past expiration, so I need to replace it.
According to the Corsair website and PC part picker, it appears as though this PSU should be compatible with my motherboard. When I power it on, my CPU fan and case fans spin for about 2 or 3 seconds and then powers off. My gpu never turns on. I have already unplugged all of my sata ssds and only have my motherboard, GPU, and CPU plugged in. Still no power.
Any ideas what might be the problem?
