Turned on my bedside lamp this morning and I didn't even notice Lady Ophelia for about 15 minutes.

Look, she's large, but she doesn't move much, and I was out late singing and playing guitar at a bar. But it was still a bit odd to me that I somehow missed her at first.

Lady Ophelia just looked so goofy stepping her long legs along here.

I don’t mean to spam her into this sub but she just looked so funny, I had to share. And some folks were genuinely worried about her after she fell into my coffee and I figured I’d give some proof of her surviving the incident.

Guess which idiot jumped into my (thankfully tepid) cup of coffee this morning...

I was working away at my laptop and PLOP this dork dropped straight into my cup of coffee, which had thankfully gone pretty cold. She then proceeded to scramble over my mouse, laptop, and desktop screen, eventually positioning herself directly above my coffee cup again. By this point I could see what was about to happen and mov moved the cup, but good lord, what a doofus.

I guess I’m not using any of my sketchbooks this morning…

I recently returned from being overseas for a couple of months, and this fine lady is still hanging around. In the middle of trying to dust everything this morning, she crawled out and sat herself proudly on top of my sketchbooks.

No matters, I can dust them and sketch another day. I’m happy to see she’s still hanging around my desk still after 8 months!

Finished one sketchbook, onto the next.

I just finished a sketchbook where I did everything in green ballpoint pen, so my next sketchbook project I'm allowing myself to use black+grey and then one feature colour per page. This is the first page that I feel turned out okay, but it fills me with hope for the experiment. Last one took about 5 weeks to complete, no idea how long this one will last me!

Finished Emma, great book! I finished my page of sketches up with Harriet and Miss Bates.

Had such a fun time reading this book. What a cast of characters!

I finished reading Volume II of Emma tonight, so of course I had to sketch Mrs. Elton.

The final sentence of this volume is the funniest thing Jane has written so far. I couldn't believe how great it was.

I couldn't help but add Mr Woodhouse to my page of sketches

He's just too funny for me to not draw. I'm going to end up being this guy when I get old, I just know it.

I’m reading Austen’s ‘Emma’ for the first time.

Was highly amused by this fellow being so taken with Emma that he had to dash off to London in order to get himself in proper wooing shape, and Emma’s response to it, and so sketched this in my coffee break this afternoon.

Got home to find that this lady had decided to move from my desk to my chair.

I guess it's her chair now! Don't want to kick the queen off her throne.

I hadn't seen Lady Ophelia for a few days but tonight I've been playing an old favourite and I guess she wanted to watch.
