So… Ya know how Rick pretended to go to jail, just so he could bring down the jail from the inside? My theory is that Evil Morty went to time prison just so it can be brought down from the inside! Rick wasn’t smiling while “frozen” because EV was caught by the Time Police, he was smiling because HE caught the Time Police! EV is a Trojan horse. Rick doesn’t hate time travel, he hates that the TP are more powerful than him in this aspect. Once Rick brings down the TP by, oh let’s say, an over powered being that can destroy entire dimensions (ala Thor “I can’t… but he can…”), which EV currently has on a thumb drive in his pocket. And we know that the TP doesn’t take anything from the prisoners, because EV went in still wearing his eyepatch. And once there is no one policing Rick’s time traveling, he will be able to clean out the box of time travel stuff.
