I see that people always recommend liqui molly or Mobil 1, I got mobil super 3000. I'm guessing it doesn't make much difference if it's VW 504?

I've seen a lot of people say that 0W-20 is better for cold weather and fuel economy, but it doesn't protect the engine as good when pushed hard.

On the other hand, people say that 5W-30 is not good for cold starts.

So my question is:

Why wouldn't you just use 0W-30 and get the best of both worlds? I'm not a big car guy so I might be missing something?
