Getting only 26 kmpl mileage on my 2019 Pulsar NS200. What should I check?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been tracking the mileage on my 2019 Pulsar NS200 (BS4 Carburetor version), and it’s consistently hovering around 26 kmpl right now.

From what I know, these bikes usually deliver anywhere between 32 to 38 kmpl, even in decent city traffic. 26 kmpl feels way too low, almost like 390cc territory.

Honestly done with Mumbai roads. It's destroying my NS200 and making me want to sell it after 7 years.

I need to vent because the state of Mumbai roads right now is genuinely depressing. I don’t know if it’s just my route or if the entire city is turning into one giant off-roading track, but the roads are getting noticeably worse every single day.

I’ve been riding my Pulsar NS200 for the last 7 years. I love this machine. It’s been reliable, fun, and has plenty of sentimental value for me. But lately, riding it in Mumbai feels like literal torture both for the bike and my spine.

You can’t go 50 meters without encountering a random deep pothole, unevenly paved patches, or those massive, unscientific speed breakers that look like mini-mountains.

My bike is giving me such a hard time now. The suspension is taking a beating, random rattles are starting to develop, and honestly, my back is done with it. I find myself constantly tensing up, bracing for impact every time I ride.

It breaks my heart, but for the first time in 7 years, I am seriously considering selling my NS200. Not because I’m bored of it, and not because the engine is bad literally only because of these pathetic road conditions.
