Chill (festive) fan missions

Hey!

Looking for fan missions that have a cozy, chill atmosphere with bunch of NPCs around similar to the Very Thiefy Christmas.

Bonus points if it has:

  1. An open environment. (as in city streets rather than catacombs)
  2. Festival feel to it.

Soloing a superhero team

Hey all!

I want to play an RPG soloing a superhero team (preferably X-Men) don't know how to do it tho.

I found some similar posts on this, but all of them seemed kind of old, so here I am.

I solo RPGs, but so far I only did 1 PC with teammates at most - I could go the Ironsworn hack route with teammates as assets but it wouldn't feel a proper team.

I was looking into Masks: New Generation which seems like it would solve the interpersonal interactions with its mechanics (something I usually struggle with) but I would like to have combat as well - and it seems Masks is NOT about that by a long shot. Should I hack it? Or add some combat mechanics?

Or maybe I should just play something else? Marvel Multiverse seems interesting, although I hate non-fixed target number games when playing solo.

I would also welcome some general pointers when it comes to playing multiple PCs and am also on the lookout for superhero themed oracles as well.

Thanks in advance!

Looking for game with multiple playable characters, meaningful progression and open ended/branching mission structure

Hey all!

Couple days ago I posted here looking for my summer fix game. I received some good suggestions, but nothing really what I was looking for ultimately or I've played them before... so I'm here again!

Now I have narrowed down what I'm looking for, hope you can help.

TLDR: I want a somewhat short game that is replayable with different classes/characters and I can choose which missions (or at least in which order) I play.

Story and missions: I want a structured game story that can be finished, preferably in a short amount of time (10-20hours) I also want to choose the mission order.

Multiple characters or classes: I want the game to be replayable, so preferably I can choose distinct characters or classes but at the very least I should be able to spec my character the way I want.

Engaging but not too difficult or frustrating gameplay: I want to enjoy my time with the game, rather than feel a sense of achievement when I accomplish something. So combat can be "hard", but not souls-like hard.

What I DON'T want: full blown RPGs - I preferably want something with less dialogue.

Open world games - these lack that mission structure I'm looking for, usually substituting it with collect a ton of stuff - I've played enough of these TBH.

Loot fest - I prefer meaningful loot rather than "oooooh, +1 strenght"

I prefer non-fps games.

Games that I played and are similar to what I'm looking for: Mass Effect, Wicther, Vtmb, Xcom, Duskers, X-men legends, Diablo, Borderlands, most strategy games with conquest modes like Total war series and I could go on.

Games that I'm actually thinking about playing: Jade Empire, Alpha Protocol (I know I said no RPG, but I skipped these when they came out and these could be something that I want)

Games in the vein of X-com, most notably Door Kickers 2.

Some roguelite games with story: I tried out BSG Scattered Hopes, and that seems cool, although I'd prefer something that has a proper replayable story. (I feel like even story based RLs are expected to be completed on the "N-th" run, with the metaprogression helping you out - this is not something I want)

There are literally dozens of games I played over the decades that could fit my preferences, but there may be some that I skipped so anything is welcome!

Games with longevity/replayability to play this summer

Hey All!

Looking for my next gaming obsession for the summer and I need some suggestions.

I want something that has a clear, long arc with beginning and end (may that arc be narrative or progression or whatever) but still can be played with a drop in - drop out attitude. So I can finish the game, but it has so much content and/or replayability that I can play indefinitely (or at least for 100+ hours) but even if I only have an hour or so to play after work, I can still play it and have fun doing it.

Some examples and a bit of elaboration of what I mean:

WOW - The game has you play from level 1 to level whatever, but you can do this at your own pace. There are ton of areas, quests and classes, so even if you "play through" the game you can start over and have a very different experience.

King's Bounty Legend - a clear story, but multiple characters and various choices mean I could play through the game multiple times and still have different experience each time.

Xcom 2 - it has a story, but so much additional content with upgrades, missions hat have you, I'd argue that the story isn't the focus. The mission structure also doesn't force you to do anything, so I can play one mission or a dozen in one sitting.

Minecraft - randomized map and TON to do.

There are other games ofc that would fit: Diablo 2, Total War games, Northgard/Spice Wars, survival games in general and so on.

Games I am NOT looking for:

roguelites - I do like them, but I want something that has a clear beginning and end. (although story based RLs like Griftlands, BFG Scattered Hopes and Absolum ,just to name a few, are somewhat close to what I am looking for right now.

Open world action RPGs - I do enjoy these games, but I feel the pacing of the story is a bit forcing in these game and that's not something I am looking for.

It can be fantasy or sci-fi, RTS or FPS, PC or... well, PC or Xbox 360 :)

Novels/short stories like thief

Hey all!

I'm looking for novels or short stories that are like thief.
I think I'd enjoy episodic pulp stories the most (like Conan), but I'm open to suggestions.

Good fanfic is welcome as well.

Hey All!

Looking for feedback about the Greebo Vladisvanya team. Couldn't find any reviews or videos but maybe you could help.

Do you like the theme/vibe of the models? How do they compare to other teams, particularly to GW vamps? (both size and aesthetic) Is the Greebo team better? Why isn't it popular? Does anyone have pics of their vlads painted or in the color of eternal shame otherwise?
