How to make a mango rosette on a cake

A simple way to turn fresh mango slices into a rosette for cake decoration. 🥭

I like this one because you don't need fancy piping skills or complicated equipment. Just thin mango slices and a little patience.

What fruit do you like using for cake decorations?

Simple buttercream flower painting on a cake

Tried this simple floral design using buttercream and a small paintbrush.

I like how the brush strokes give the flowers a slightly hand-painted look without making the cake too complicated.

Still practicing the technique, but quite happy with how this one turned out.

Almond-Date Chocolate Bites - 3 ingredients, no baking

Made these almond-date chocolate bites recently and they turned out much better than I expected.

Just dates + almonds, coated in melted milk chocolate and finished with a little chocolate drizzle. No complicated baking involved.

The dates give enough sweetness that you don't really need to add sugar, and the almond in the centre gives a nice bite against the soft date and chocolate.

I made these at home for Baked by Priti and thought they might be useful for anyone looking for an easy homemade sweet/snack.

Anyone else make these at home? What would you add to them?

Tried making Bounty-style modaks for Ganpati

Ganesh Chaturthi is on 14 September this year, so I was playing around with some festive modak ideas.

Made these with a coconut filling and chocolate shell. Basically a Bounty disguised as a modak 😂

Honestly, I wasn't sure how they'd look once unmoulded, but these turned out pretty cute.

Would you make these for your Ganpati celebrations?

Realistic fried chicken cake - made entirely from cake

A fried chicken piece that looks like it belongs in a bucket, but it’s actually cake.

I made the shape and outer texture specifically to mimic crispy fried chicken. The final reveal still makes me do a double take.

This was an original cake I made and filmed myself.

Is there any demand for baking workshops in Noida?

Curious if people here would actually sign up for a hands-on baking workshop.

If yes, what would interest you the most?

• Beginner baking
• Eggless baking
• Cakes & frosting
• Breads
• Cookies & desserts
• Parent + child sessions

And would you prefer a one-day workshop or a longer course?

Just trying to understand whether there's enough interest before investing time into organizing one.

You can see the search queries ChatGPT generates before answering

While using ChatGPT Web Search, I stumbled across something interesting in Chrome DevTools.

If you open the Network tab, inspect the conversation request, and search for:

search_model_queries

you can see the search queries ChatGPT generated before producing an answer.

I also found:

search_result_groups

which shows the URLs and domains retrieved during the search process.

The screenshot below is from a prompt where I asked for the latest SEO news. One of the generated searches specifically referenced the new Google Search Console AI Performance Report, even though I never used that phrase in my prompt.

What caught my attention wasn't the answer itself.

It was the gap between my original query and the queries ChatGPT generated behind the scenes.

Makes me wonder:

  • How often are the generated searches different from the user's query?
  • Do certain sites consistently appear in retrieval?
  • Are there common patterns in how ChatGPT expands intent before searching?

Has anyone else explored this or analyzed it across a larger set of prompts*?*
