Introducing the LarKin!

Introducing the LarKin!

(Lark + Heritage Kin) I was disappointed and how limited the Lark was, no matter what my kid could not have arms out, the chest strap was awkward. I added panel adjusters, made a chest strap and actually took out a few stitches by the waistband so I can thread a shoelace through and cinch the seat narrower - it didn't fit my kid until they were almost 9 months old which is ridiculous.

(plus a wrist wallet to hold the chest straps when I'm not using them)

100% cotton summer pants?

I have been looking and looking for summer pants that are 100% lightweight cotton, semi-structured, high-ish waist, with back pockets.

There are a bunch of options for pull on wide leg cotton or linen blend summer pants, but when you put a phone in those pockets it flaps around like there's a brick in your pants.

Everything I find has some elastic and it just makes the pants so much hotter, especially in humid weather. I don't mind an elastic waist, but I'm looking for breathable material that doesn't look like I'm going to the beach or wearing pajamas.

We will be traveling from the US to the Schengen zone this summer with a toddler. I have read that kids under 12 don't need fingerprints but therefore need to use a manned kiosk booth. Does anyone have advice or experience how this has been working? We fly into Vienna from Chicago.

Also, does this apply to each crossing or just for set up? Will we need to find a manned booth leaving Schengen as well?

I'm picturing we get done with 17 hours of travel with a toddler and then spend hours waiting at the border trying to figure out how to find a manned boarder agent booth...
