Been getting excited about the movie release this month, so I’ve decided that I’m gonna try to post a new Street Fighter stop motion every weekend in October. This is the first one, inspired by the opening of the 1994 animated movie. I really like how it turned out, hopefully you enjoy. Feel free to follow my social media at the end if you wanna see more!
I made this in celebration of the Revelations DLC coming out. I used the McFarlane Toys DOOM Slayer and a couple of Mythic Legions for the fodder demons. The Slayer was a little finicky to try and animate, his articulation isn’t incredible but I managed to get something I’m happy with!

What is it that makes an action figure good or bad in your eyes? Sculpt? Articulation? Accessories? Cost? I was thinking about doing a YouTube video about this, and I wanna see if there’s enough behind this idea to get anything interesting going.
I’m trying to figure out what it is that most collectors look for out of their figures, so I thought I’d get feedback from as many people as I can. I know a lot of us (myself included) look at the whole package, and we’re willing to make some concessions (such as sacrificing sculpt if it means better articulation, or vice-versa). But if you had to pick the MAIN thing that appeals to you, I’d love to hear it. And if there’s something that’s always a deal-breaker for you, I’d love to hear that too.
It’s no secret that the OG MK ninja mold deteriorates badly over time. I know I’ve seen people selling 3D prints for the inner torso workings. I’ve got a printer and I was wondering if anyone sells the STL files for these, since one or two of the boys can’t hold their arms up anymore.
Additionally, Scorpion and Noob are both in need of some kind of hip repair, since it seems the socket in the upper leg has split and doesn’t grip the ball joint as well anymore. SUUUUPER loose. Is there a fix for this that anyone has discovered?
I’ve been mostly content just leaving these guys on the shelf, but I’d love to use them for stop motion again at some point and I really don’t want them shattering as soon as I move them.
This is an older animation I made last summer to pot on TikTok and IG (CaptainMcKay). I decided to “remaster” it since people have liked my recent clips.
I liked the idea of a character select screen for vertical formats, just gives something extra to add to the production with the animated characters by the roster like in the old games.
The thing I changed in the stop motion itself was Reptile’s blood color - originally it was red, but people pointed out that his blood has been green for a long time. While it did switch back and forth a few times in the original games, it’s pretty much been green since the 3D era. So that oversight has been corrected.

This is one I made a few weeks back, decided to re-post this for two reasons:
1.) the original was just a link to my IG (CaptainMcKay) and didn’t auto-play, so basically no one saw it. And most importantly
2.) I heard the cries from Kung Lao fans demanding justice after the recent Shao Kahn animation I made. You Kung Lao fans are a vocal bunch haha. The comments and arguments I’ve seen on my social media posts for these clips have been WILD. I got love for Kung Lao too, but his die-hard fans are on another level.

Continuing my series of fatalities, I always liked the rivalry between these two in the original MK3 where the cyber initiative was rolling out and Kuai Liang rejects the Lin Kuei and abandons the classic uniform. Just having some more fun with these awesome figures!
