Hi everyone. I’m relatively new in my sales role. I come from HVAC design and am now in a role where I am “selling” HVAC equipment to engineers, like I used to be. I put sales in quotes because in my industry and role, the engineers are not the actual buyers, rather they put the equipment on the drawings and contractors later purchase that equipment from my company or an equivalent competitor. So I’m not really talking dollars or making deals like that.
A big part of my job is conducting lunch and learns and this is something I am trying to get better at. I know I am pretty monotone and drop a lot of “ums”.

I feel like I am pretty personable and have no issues taking clients out to lunch or an event and shooting the shit. But presentations are another thing.
I’m looking to hear what worked for you guys? I’ve heard improv classes can help, and my local community college offers some speech courses. I’ve got a 7 week old now so something online might be easier for me - if those are worthwhile.

I’ve always operated under the impression that my AHU heating coil could be slightly larger in capacity than necessary. For example, if I want 80 deg LAT on a 160/140 HW system, and my equipment vendor provides a coil that can do 83 deg LAT at full flow, there’s no issues as the control valve will just modulate the flow slightly to achieve set point.

I’m working with a new senior engineer and he wants me to have the equipment vendor revise the selection to show our LAT and associated flow exactly. This seems like an odd request since the coils are obviously of a fixed construction, so the vendor will just be turning down the HW flow and giving us that info.

Is this something you guys are used to requesting? I could see being concerned with a coil that’s doing 100+ at full flow, to ensure we aren’t going laminar at such a high turn down.

Tired of getting what seems 5+ posts a day asking the same question

What are you guys using to clean all the fake leather surfaces on the 2026+? Not sure if I should be using a leather cleaner or an all purpose cleaner?

Wish I would’ve thought about this sooner, but we are expecting our first child this week. I’m seeing team USA onesies online but they all have extended delivery times due to being custom.

Curious if anyone has seen anything around town?

Just started back up 2 years ago after not playing since highschool. Finally things are clicking and I’m hitting my driver 250 carry, straight. My irons are nice and compressed with a little baby fade. Just had the best range session this evening.

But I’m having a kid in the next week and it’s raining for the next 5+ days… really wanted to break 90 before he came.

Not to say I’m not completely stoked to meet my little guy, but dang… why couldn’t I get it together earlier this season!

Finally pulled the trigger after getting a PC (ROG Ally X). Setup is a little funny since you don’t get the alignment portion in the GSPro app. I think I’ll be starting it up in MLM app and getting it aligned, then booting up GSPro.

Would be great to have club data, but my biggest gripe with MLM app has always been the rollout. I know my 240-250yd carry drives will roll out way more than 10 yards. Chips are always iffy on rollout too. On GS Pro it’s so much more realistic. Still need to mess with it, I only hit on the range and played a couple of holes.

I may go back to MLM when trying to work on attack angle or swing path, but that can really be figured out with spin data and shot shape which does come through in GS Pro.

For those wondering about playing on the Ally. I was on 17W mode at medium graphics at 1080p. Ran pretty smooth. My setup is a net in the backyard so that’s why I went this route. Also got a kiddo on the way and wanted to be able to game in the nursery and around the house with baby. I plan to get a mount or table and keep the PC plugged in and try running high graphics. Maybe get a monitor out there one day just need to figure out how to weatherproof it easily.

Edit: also it’s so much faster between holes or taking a mulligan. When finishing a hole the next hole loads almost instantaneously.

I don’t know what triggered it but last week I went through a 5 day long depressive state - I would call it mild, but I was just not finding any enjoyment out of any of my favorite things and really struggling to have a positive attitude. It really hit me when my mom asked how work was and I simply said “well hopefully I still have my job next year.”

I’ve got my first kid coming in a couple weeks and I think maybe just the stress of a new job and being the sole income earner had finally worn on me.

Anyways, I told my wife how I’d been feeling and we finally had a sunny day after a week plus of rain. I had a bunch of shrooms left over from a covid grow. So I told her I wanted to take some and just go swimming and sit in the sun for a while. I only took about 1g by my estimates (capsules I crafted long ago).

Can’t say if it was the mushrooms or just getting a couple hours of warm sunshine but wow I was feeling so much better the next day. Night and day difference.
