Reaching followers

I’ve been paying more attention to how platforms behave depending on where I am, and it’s still a bit confusing.

Between different recommendations, login checks, and general performance, things don’t always feel consistent.

Do creators usually just adapt to this, or is there something I should be understanding better?

Back to the office small talk

After working remotely for more than 4 years, going back to the office to work. It was nice to meet colleagues in the beginning, but it feels like a part of work to carry on small talk conversations, especially the ones you're not too familiar or you just don't need some of them to know too much what you did last weekend.

Is it just me? Or it's kind of common?

Grow my audience beyond my local region

I recently started trying to grow a small content account while living in Asia, and something feels a bit off with my reach.

Most of my content is in English, but it seems like it’s mostly being shown locally rather than to the audience I’m actually trying to reach.

Not sure if this is just how platforms work or if location plays a bigger role than I thought?

Curious if anyone else experienced this when creating from a different region.

Recently moved to Taiwan, trying to manage access to US accounts and services

Hey everyone, I moved to Taiwan a few weeks ago and still figuring out the logistics of living abroad while keeping my financial life tied to the US.

A few things I've been running into:

My main paycheck still goes into my US bank account since I work remotely. Logging in has mostly been fine, but I occasionally hit friction with location security flags.

Amazon keeps telling me certain items aren't available in my region even I just wanna ship it to a US address.

I'm not too experienced with this yet. How do you navigate around? Would love to hear how others handle it. Do you keep a US address on file? Use specific banks that are more expat-friendly? Any services that work better than others? Would really appreciate any practical advice from people who've been through this. Thanks in advance!

Anyone else constantly getting login verification when switching between Wi-Fi and hotspot?

Every time I switch from my home Wi-Fi to my hotspot (or vice versa), I get hit with a 2FA prompt or "unusual activity" warning on apps.

I get why it happens, because the IP changes. It's gotten exhausting.

Anyone can suggest a fix short of just staying on one connection?

How to grow my audience beyond my local region?

I've been trying to grow my account for a few months now and when I checked the backend on platforms, the vast majority of my followers and viewers are based in Asia where I'm located.

My content isn't region-specific. Do platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube heavily weigh our location when deciding who to show the content to?

Is there VPN alternative options out there? Anything that can be owned by users instead of subscriptions. I'm not a very techy user, hopefully can find some suggestions here.

I’ve been messing around with a Deeper Connect unit for a few months now. Originally just got it for the privacy stuff, but I decided to test it out for my social media accounts since I’ve been struggling to reach anyone outside my local area. I set my tunnel to the US (and sometimes European countries like France) to see if it actually changed my "local" reach. Usually, when I post, it's 90% local viewers. After switching the hardware to a US node, my analytics actually flipped. About 80% of my new viewers were coming from the US after a day of data. It works more "stable" than the desktop VPNs (Nord) I used to use.

Just wanted to put this out there for anyone else trying to grow an international audience.
