Hi all!

So my dad has really been on me recently a 20m to reconsider my stance on God. I am very much not outspoken about my beliefs in my family as I tend to share different opinions than my parents. (I am an atheist and moderately conservative, while both my parents are somewhat religious and liberal. I am really not trying to get a political conversation going I just included this for context so whether you agree or disagree with my political stance please disregard that) My dad has been telling me recently to reconsider my stance on God as I obviously don’t believe in a God nor in an afterlife. What is surprising is that my Dad has always been fairly against religion, Christianity more specifically but does believe in a god. Growing up he always mentioned his doubts of Jesus, and I was only confirmed as a Roman Catholic for my mother’s sake. Just today he asked to confirm if I don’t believe in God and then questioned how the universe and things like the sun have come about. Obviously, I don’t really want to spoil my relationship with my father that is also already rocky so I just responded that I didn’t know and quickly changed subjects. He then proceeded to tell me to reconsider my stance on god along with calling me an idiot and dumb for being an atheist. I really didn’t want to ask him how he could be so sure that God had created the universe due to the tense situation.

I really don’t know what to do as my dad and I don’t really get along too well. I’m very into natural bodybuilding and Spanish which he both disapproved of for some reason and arguing about god feels like I’ll only make it worse. Does anyone have any suggestion on what I should say or what I should do???

Would it be best to just keep my mouth shut since I live under their roof and weather the storm until I eventually find my own place in a couple of years??

I just am reaching out to this sub to see what my response maybe should be. I am a big fan of Alex’s content and it is the main reason that I actually turned to atheism but I do have trouble articulating some of his points even though I often agree with them.

Hi guys, so I’m a 19m who is really struggling with body image issues. I started bodybuilding after finishing high school and 14 months later I’m just slightly less fat with zero noticeable muscle. I developed a really bad binge eating disorder on top of this once I realize no diet would cure my body image issues so I might as well eat how I want to. I don’t know how to treat my constant pursuit of packing on as much muscle as possible all the while wanting to be lean. I want to take anabolic steroids and peptides soon because I’m disgusted with my body but I know they will not fix my problems. I already talk with a therapist about my problems but her advice doesn’t really help since she is on the verge of obesity so I honestly don’t care for her opinions. Does anyone have any advice on what to do?? I don’t want to take steroids since I know they will ruin my health but I can’t stand being in my body right now so it feels like the best option.

Hi, like the title says I am looking for guidance on my Roth IRA.

I am a 19m and started by IRA about a year ago. I didn’t have the chance to work last year as I was out of state for school but have transferred to a closer university back home and now plan to be working throughout college. With this being the case I am trying to figure out what I can do now to set myself up for future success since right now I do not have many bills due to my age and living at home. I have $920 in my IRA right now along with $10k in my custodial brokerage account and an additional few thousand dollars in my savings and checking accounts combined. Right now my IRA split is 70% SWPPX, 20% SWISX, 5% NVDA, and 5% KO. As of now I am no longer currently contributing to my brokerage as I did not know about the tax advantages of an IRA versus a brokerage when I first started investing. I have a fairly high risk tolerance since I am young and save roughly 80% of all my paychecks (IRA, Savings account, etc) since my expenses are low and my hobbies (bodybuilding and learning Spanish) are fairly cheap.

Also, all of my money is from working not a single dime across any of my accounts has been inherited.

I am really just looking for guidance on what to do now with my IRA as I am quite young and try to manage my money responsibly but don’t know what exactly is quite best for me.

My only question would be if my current percentages between each of my holdings are appropriate for an IRA account?

Hi, so I have been running in the Nike quests 6 for the past couple of months and am looking for a different shoe now. I am newer to running and do it to keep good cardio rather than weight loss or competition as I am more into bodybuilding/weightlifting. I was wondering what shoes would be best for me, I only run about 4-5 total miles in a week and run 2 times per week. I am not looking for any top of the line shoe to break PRs but I am definitely very open to shoes of all price ranges. I am 6ft 3, 190 lbs, wear a size 14 and have noticed my calves get incredibly tight after runs regardless of how much stretching/recovery I do along with mild knee discomfort. I have neutral to slightly higher arches, I run on paved roads, and I run about a 7:15 min mile. Also I am looking for a durable, everyday run, reliable shoe. I would love to hear what shoes would be some good fits as I have practically zero knowledge about running shoes. Thanks!

I am a local college student looking for a summer job, and I am way behind on finding part-time employment. I should've had this done earlier, but unforeseen application issues earlier in the year prevented it. Does anyone have any ideas on who is hiring or what roles are possible for this summer? I have already applied to various retail stores and a gym, but don't know what else to do. I am a white guy, but I speak Spanish on a conversational level as I am studying it at college, and have interests in both Spanish and Weight lifting. If anyone has any suggestions on where to look or opportunities available, I would be happy to hear them!!

Here me out I get Mora is a niche artist but he deserves more recognition. Primer Día de Clases is an absolute classic and a bunch of his stuff on Microdosis and Paraíso is good too. Cositas with paopao does not get the love it deserves and he cooked up with Más Que Algo ft Omar Courtz on Lo Mismo de Siempre. I’m obvisouly biased but I’d love to know everybody’s thoughts on his stuff. This is coming from a Feid super fan so he isn’t even my fav artist but definitely one I think is slept on.
