Tips for Minotaur Labyrinth ?

Tips for Minotaur Labyrinth ?

Accidentally went into the Labyrinth for the first time thinking it was just the boulder puzzle room, and I ended up in here. Should I try to fight him since I’m pretty high level, or should I just try to speedrun through the maze with my Staff of Opening?

I have some decent gear, like a Ring of Regeneration and Boots of Levitation. Outside of that, all I really have is 4 bolas.

I'm scared to get treated like a ragdoll by diet cow hulk.

Edit: hank you for all of the advice, my friends. I couldn’t beat it in direct combat, so I mixed some of the stuff y’all suggested and kited him for a while while running for the spear. Then he was slowed, so I just mag-dumped him with Magic Missile while he took a bit to get to me.

Finally conquered the gnomish mines!

After about 40 minutes of hit-and-run tactics, mixed with using their own lightning staffs against them, I have successfully killed every single living thing on this floor and excavated almost every possible resource here!

Also, for the record, the shopkeeper is still alive since he provided me with food.

How long did it take for you guys to beat the game for the first time?

I can see from playing a bit myself that this game can certainly make some gamers rage-quit by Floor 3, and there will always be something new and random popping up in your face, like spikes, a gang of thief gnomes, the Big B, etc.

What classes and races did you guys use to beat the game, and what were your biggest struggles while learning the game?

I failed my sweet children, I let the monsters get to them.

I originally found him on floor 2 with his three siblings. They had just defeated the minotaur for me, and I polymorphed to recruit all four of them…

I first saw them as tools, to be thrown away and used for their magical power, but going through the swamp I became attached. I gave them better gear, even gear that would benefit me the most.

I lost my first boy to the next minotaur spawn. We were not lucky enough to have the Zap Brigade spawn again to protect us. I was too late as I was trying to break down a door to get to the secret temple… he held it off for as long as he could.

We managed to get through the jungle temple and we were so happy together, all fully geared up past level 20. It’s been my best run yet with my sweet, sweet allies.

It was going so well I thought we could defeat all of the ghouls inside the haunted castle, and we did, but in the end I got too cocky and ran past to spawn many. There were too many, and they took my second one.

I’m afraid to continue the run. I don’t want to lose the rest of them. They fought so hard for me and I love them.

Edit: I’m going to continue on this save to honor their losses by beating the game for the first time, if I succeed in this journey I will post an update!

What Dream Beyblade Did You Fellas Always Want as a Kid?

I thought about it for a bit and bought my first lot of Beys, and I got them for $50!

I'm pretty happy since I saw Twisted Tempo in there. I would always go against it whenever I played with my cousin, so I thought it would be nice to finally get one for myself.

I was just wondering, were there any Beys you guys always wanted as a kid but could never get until you were older?

Oh boy, can't wait to get some nice XP in floor 1!

As I said walking into the floor of nothingness and boredom.

Edit: lost the map seed, I apologize 😔.

[Online] [D&D 3.5] [21+] [Thursday Afternoons] Two Players Looking for a Long-Term Campaign.

Hey, we are two players looking for a long-term online D&D 3.5e campaign that runs on Thursday afternoons.

We both have several years of D&D experience:

  • Player 1: 7 years of D&D experience, including experience with 3.5e.
  • Player 2: 6 years of D&D experience, including around 1 year of 3.5e experience.

We enjoy creating unique characters and bringing interesting personalities into the world. One of us likes making unusual characters that are less humanoid leaning, while the other enjoys trying something new each campaign and tends to gravitate toward playing casters.

We are pretty flexible and open to different campaign styles. We are willing to try out new VTTs, adapt to different rulings, and work with the DM's preferred style.

We are mainly looking for a friendly group to join for a longer-term campaign, make memorable characters, and enjoy the game together.

If you have a campaign that might be a good fit or your starting one, please message me.

[Online][D&D 3.5][Fridays Afternoons][21+] The Seam - Long-Term Choice-Driven Infinite Dungeon Campaign

Hey! We're looking for 2 players to join our recently started campaign. Due to a couple of players leaving, we've got two open spots and would love to find people interested in a long-term adventure.

If you're interested, please fill out the Google application below. It has 22 questions, but they're mostly quick and should only take a few minutes to complete.

Campaign Synopsis

Across the planes, fractures in reality have begun to appear without warning. Thin cracks in space lead to a place whispered about only by survivors and madmen:

The Seam.

An endless dungeon suspended between worlds.

Entire ruins, kingdoms, monsters, and forgotten civilizations have been stitched together within its depths. Every floor is its own world with its own rules, and no one has ever discovered where the dungeon truly ends.

No one enters The Seam by accident.

Those who cross its threshold do so willingly, drawn by an offer impossible to refuse: power, knowledge, revenge, salvation, freedom, or something even more personal. In exchange, a contract is made. Yet once inside, the details become distant and fractured, as though parts of the agreement were stripped away upon entry.

Within The Seam, reality shifts, time bends, and something unseen watches from deep beyond the endless halls.

Somewhere in its depths lies what every entrant was promised.

And the reason the contract had to be signed at all.

Basic Information

  • Game System: D&D 3.5 Edition
  • Current Party Level: 4
  • Schedule: Every Friday, 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM EST (may run later if everyone agrees)
  • Platforms: Roll20 + Discord (voice)
  • Age Requirement: 21+

Campaign Application: https://forms.gle/mzxEYwdvkGbBFFw7A

Closing on the 19th.

The Seam | [Online] [D&D 3.5] [Homebrew Setting] [Weekly Fridays] [21+] | Looking for 2 Players

I'm looking for 2 players to join an ongoing Dungeons & Dragons 3.5e campaign set in a homebrew world known as The Seam.

Whether you're an experienced 3.5 veteran or new to the system, you're welcome to apply. I'm happy to help teach the rules as long as you're willing to learn and can commit to a weekly game.

Campaign Synopsis

Across the planes, fractures in reality have begun to appear without warning. Thin cracks in space lead to a place whispered about only by survivors and madmen: The Seam.

Those who cross its threshold do so willingly, drawn in by an offer impossible to refuse: power, knowledge, revenge, salvation, freedom, or something even more personal.

  • System: Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 Edition
  • Current Party Level: 4
  • Schedule: Every Friday, 8:00 PM EST - 11:00 PM EST (Start and end times may change if everyone agrees.)
  • Platform: Roll20 + Discord (Voice)
  • Players Needed: 2
  • Age Requirement: 21+

Tone & Style

The Seam is a long-term, player-driven campaign focused on exploration, roleplay, combat, and meaningful choices.

While the setting can be grim, dangerous, and morally gray, it is not constant grimdark. The tone naturally changes depending on the party's choices, including darker moments, mystery, humor, character development, and moments of adventure.

Your decisions matter, and the world will react to what you do.

Interested?

If this campaign sounds like a good fit, send me a private message answering the following questions:

  1. What name or nickname would you like us to call you?
  2. What time zone are you in?
  3. How long have you been playing TTRPGs? What systems have you played?
  4. Have you played D&D 3.5 before? If not, are you willing to learn?
  5. Can you confidently commit to a long-term weekly campaign?
  6. Do you already have a character concept in mind? If so, tell me about it.
  7. Is there anything you're hoping to experience or avoid in this campaign?
  8. Is there anything else you'd like me to know about you or your playstyle?

I'll read every message and reach out to people who seem like a good fit for a short Discord conversation before making a final decision.

Full character creation rules, house rules, and player expectations will be provided after joining the campaign server.

My discord user is "stagnantdragon".

[D&D 3.5] [EST/PST] [Fridays] [Online] Three players looking for a 3.5 D&D Campaign

Three players looking for a campaign, with two in the EST timezone and one in PST. We're hoping for gestalt rules if possible. (If anyone isn't familiar with gestalt, I can explain it in DMs.)

We're pretty much open to any setting you can think of.

We are available on Fridays, and may also be able to do Saturdays or Sundays later in the day. We prefer a 50/50 mix of combat and roleplay with sandbox elements. We're most experienced with Discord voice and Roll20, and all three of us are experienced with D&D 3.5.

Just hoping for a fun campaign for both the players and the DM.

PM me for discord user.
