Antinatalism

Hi, I’m (23F) not sure if this is even allowed in this subreddit,

but I want to know if anybody else feels that the normalisation of porn and sexual exploitation of women has completely put anybody else off having kids?

Porn is a large part (in my opinion) of what makes this society a dystopia (particularly for women) why would I want to subject any children (particularly girls) to this misogynistic dystopia that I already feel miserable living in??

This isn’t the only thing that makes me anti natalist, but it has certainly been a huge influence in developing this ideology throughout my early twenties.

Just posting this to open up a conversation about this and see how other people feel?

Can any avoidants share whether they regret how abruptly they ended things because they thought it would be easier in the long run, only to realise you should have allowed conversations to be had at the time?

I want to get an insight into how my ex feels, he ended things by saying he doesn’t love me out of literally nowhere, and didn’t allow any further conversation for closure and hasn’t reached out since. It’s been just over a month, do you think he regrets the coldness and lack of closure at the end? Does he regret ruining my perception of him? He was so inhumane.

Edit: not necessarily regretting ending the relationship but regretting doing it in such a way

How is it possible that we had insane chemistry and were literally best friends that were constantly laughing, with the same moral and political opinions / life views and he fell out of love?? There were no signs

Avoidance and alcoholism

Do you think avoidant people have high tendencies to alcoholism? My ex wasn’t a full blown alcoholic but it was definitely his coping mechanism of choice.

Blindsided

Has anybody’s PA or ex PA ever been the one to bring up being anti porn first before you ever started dating / early on, and then blindsided you later down the line and you discovered that they were lying?

As in - you didn’t have to be the one to ask or even bring up the topic, they did it first and made it seem like a deal breaker to them and wanted to know your thoughts on it.

Blindsided break up

Idk what type of avoidant he is but he broke up with me on Tuesday, two days after I got home from visiting him for two months because he had ‘fallen out of love’ with me after a small dispute over him not texting me whilst drinking.

Two days before on Sunday, he was calling me adorable, calling me all his made up ridiculous nicknames / pet names, telling me how much he loved me, calling me his best friend, paid for a two hour taxi to the airport there and back to drop me off, even waited until the very last second he couldn’t see me anymore going through to airport security in the middle of the night two hours from his home. We were intimate multiple times on the Sunday initiated by him. I have been completely and utterly blindsided I am in shock. Is he telling the truth? Does he truly just not love me? Is it possible for an avoidant to actually fake doing all those things? Is it possible for somebody to have cute outbursts over you if they aren’t in love with you?

Further context: he moves home back to my country literally this coming Saturday after we did a year long distance whilst he studied, and I lived with him for the last two months of that. So we were about to end long distance.

I’ve only just started properly diving into avoidant behaviour because of this, I’ve dealt with a narcissist in the past so experienced some similar behaviours to him but wow this breakup feels out of nowhere and completely different. I am shook to my core.

WTF!!!!!! HELP PLEASE I FEEL LIKE IM GOING CRAZY
