People keep coming in and out of my street?

There’s something I’ve been observing the past few weeks as I’ve been coming home. I live on a cul de sac, with around 15 properties along the street. At random hours of the night, not so much early morning, cars will come in and out of my street on multiple occasions.

I was renting in another part of western Sydney as I was having my house fixed up and didn’t see that many cars. That suburb was quite larger and had more homes around me.

If I sit in my car at 6PM, 7PM, 8PM.. etc, at least 5 cars will come in and out of the street within the span of 10 minutes. Is this normal? Some people I’ve observed just sit in their car with headlights on. Each household only has max 2 cars each. There’s nothing around my street like shops that would require that many cars. I’m trying to think maybe some food deliveries or something but I’m not sure.

Am I being dramatic or is this strange?

I (22F) have never been in love and I am only interested in sex

I’m in my early 20s and I am currently dating someone. I have had 3 relationships and many situationships. I grew up interested in romance, I loved reading wattpad and fantasising over 1D boys.

I went to an all girls school and did have my first boyfriend. I think I was crazy about him because of the fact I was so eager to try having sex for the first time. I dated him for about a year and didn’t even have sex because he would treat me like shit. I remember trying to love him, always talking to him, made him really nice gifts and he didn’t do anything for me.

Boyfriend number 2 was during my first few years at college. He was so boring, had some issues wanting sex (he was a virgin and scared). Never had sex with him.

Current boyfriend treated me really well at the start. He still is nice and on most occasions I feel happy with him. However, I’ve come to realise he isn’t that great of a person but I’m only sticking around for company, money and sex.

None of the men I meet actually care what I have to say. For some reason, all the men I’ve encountered will act interested but will only either want me to fit their gf fantasy or sexual fantasy. I’ve barely had any men ask me what I want in life or my opinions on certain topics. No matter how much I open up to these men, no one knows me or cares to know me.

I love love. I wish there was someone out there for me who’d actually take the time to listen to me, ask me questions and be genuinely interested. When I do meet new men, I get really excited that I am meeting my future husband or whatever and then my idea gets completely torn. As a result, it seems all I think about is dick and trying out a sexual fantasy I saw in porn with my partner. That’s the only thing I look forward to and I feel depressed that this is all I will be for the rest of my life.

TL;DR I am a big gooner and want to find love

What are the lasting impacts of demerit points on P-platers?

Hello,

I am a green p-plater who got a parking fine with demerit points. It was bit of a silly fine, the strip I parked on was no parking school zone for 30 minutes and I didn't realise it was 3:20pm and assumed it was okay to park there because there were others around me doing the same thing. Stupid mistake, I know. Learnt my lesson and will be more proactive in checking the signs.

I don't speed or do anything stupid so I know that it's unlikely I'll incur another fine. What are the lasting implications for receiving a demerit point on your licence? I don't plan on buying a car under my name. From my research I have seen people saying the points reset after 3 years but they remain on your file forever but I am having trouble understanding how this process works.

Serious answers only please. Each time I ask a question to Reddit I get some sarcastic response.

How do I report people making noise in the library?

I don’t want to come off as racist, but I’ve noticed a certain kind of people constantly making noise in the library. I sat in the silent space near those quiet rooms and noticed a group of people go into the room and talk loudly when there’s only supposed to be one person in there at a time.

I went into the sensory space, which is also supposed to be silent and the same kind of people were there making noise. I put my noise cancellation headphones on and could still hear them. They then left with their rubbish on the table😭

Also, the school kids keep making so much noise and I’m getting really frustrated because I don’t have a silent area to do my uni work at home.

How do I report this when there aren’t any staff around?

Are there some lesser known physical adaptations across populations?

I work at this immigration department where I encounter many people from all over the world. I've noticed that certain people have similar physical characteristics depending on where they're from (obviously). I'm not talking about skin colour, hair colour or face shape.

I've noticed that people from East Asia (mostly Chinese) have really pointy fingers. I couldn't find anyone else talk about this except on this Reddit post (https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinteresting/comments/1j7yo9/i\_have\_abnormally\_pointy\_fingertips/). I've also noticed that Indian people typically have really skinny ankles, no matter whether they are overweight, but I am pretty sure this is more known. They also have really long fingers. I also notice Slavic grannies typically have much thicker fingers.

I am pretty unfamiliar with biology, but I'd love to know if this is something that has been previously observed. I'd also love to learn more about why these physical features exist in specific populations.
