Tell me if I need to sleep train my baby

My baby girl is 13 wk this week and I will go back to work in a couple of months to a very intense job (say average 60hrs/week, sometimes 80hrs) so sleep is important to me.

I don’t know if I should sleep train my baby or not mostly because I am able to tolerate her waking for now (due to getting used to my demanding job lol). However, getting back to work with this - I am not sure. Her nights usually look like this:

- 6:45pm: start bedtime routine + bedtime feeding
- Around 7:30-8:00pm: going to bed. She usually falls asleep while feeding or when I am reading to her.
- Around 11:00-11:35pm: she may wake up for feeding (1 out of 5 nights) or we will dreamfeed her at 11:45pm
- 3:30pm-5pm: Most night she will wake up for a small feed (2oz vs full feed at 5oz)
- 7-7:30am: She will usually wake up on her own

What is your advice around sleep training? Will it help us a lot? When should I start?

Thank you!

Is it taking longer to get a biometrics appointment scheduled these days?

I've been looking through posts here and it seems like many people get their biometrics appointment scheduled within 3-4 weeks of their receipt date. I'm getting close to the 4-week mark without any news.

For those with recent EB-based I-485 filings, how long did it take from your receipt date to getting your biometrics appointment notice?

My timeline:

I-140 & I-485 concurrently filed RD: June 15, 2026

I-140 PP Approved: July 2, 2026

Thanks!

Silly questions of EB2 processes

I guess these questions are pretty silly to some of you but I still need to ask and would love to get some insights from you.

My company sponsors EB-2 for me and the attorney handles all the paperwork and submission. I am wondering:

  1. If USCIS sends electronic receipt notice, are they sending to my attorney's email or my email?

  2. Will biometrics appointment schedule be sent via email or mail? And to where, my addresses or my attorney's? Is there any other way to get notified of the scheduled appointment i.e., a portal?

  3. In this case, my attorney is submitting the documents. Can I still have my USCIS account linked to the pending petition and I-485?

  4. I see across all the threads, there are multiple ways to get updated on the case such as silent updates and Emma chat. When do you use which method? How can I see silent updates?

Thankssss in advance!!!!

My lawyer is currently drafting my employment-based AOS I-485 documents. I'm expecting a baby in the next 2-3 weeks, and the baby will be a US citizen at birth.

I know the baby won't need to be included in my I-485 as a derivative applicant (since she will be a US citizen). But I'm wondering:

  • Do I need to submit ANY document for her e.g., birth certificate?
  • Is there any reason to give my lawyer a heads-up before the baby is born while they are working on the documents?
