Is ACCA the ONLY Qualification With an Annual Subscription Fee?

No. ACCA is not the only professional body that charges subscription/membership fees. Other professional bodies also have annual membership or subscription fees, although the amount and when you pay it can differ.

For example, ICAI (India), ICAN (Nepal) has an annual CA membership fee, and ICAEW also charges annual membership fees.

ACCA students preparing for their next attempt — are you targeting just 50?

ACCA students preparing for their next attempt — are you targeting just 50?

I think aiming for exactly the pass mark can be risky. If your target is 50, even a few mistakes, time pressure or difficult questions can bring your actual score below the pass mark.

I’d rather prepare around the 60–70+ range so there’s some buffer. The idea isn’t that you have to score 70 or 80 in the actual exam — it’s just about not preparing with the bare minimum as your goal.

What do you usually target for upcoming attempt — 50, 60, 70+?

About EPSM In ACCA

For anyone confused about EPSM, it stands for Ethics and Professional Skills Module. It also need to be done to get membership. It’s basically an online ACCA module that focuses on practical workplace skills like ethics, communication, teamwork, commercial awareness and decision-making. Currently, it has 10 units and takes around 20 hours to complete.

It’s also not like a normal ACCA exam where you sit for a timed exam and get one attempt. There are quizzes/activities throughout the module and a final assessment. If you don’t pass the assessment the first time, you can retake it without paying an additional resit fee. The fee is paid once and gives you unlimited assessment attempts.

Once you complete it, you get an EPSM certificate and transcript. ACCA recommends doing it towards the end of Applied Skills and before Strategic Professional.

Also, EPSM is changing as part of ACCA’s 2027 qualification redesign. The current EPSM will be replaced by Ethical, Sustainable Leadership. If you complete the current EPSM before the transition, you’ll get credit for the new module, so you won’t have to do both.

Hope this clears up some of the confusion for anyone who hasn’t done EPSM yet.

ACCA students, it's not just the exams changing… EPSM is changing too!

Just noticed another important part of the ACCA qualification changes that some students may not be aware of — EPSM is changing too. As part of the redesigned ACCA Qualification, the current Ethics and Professional Skills Module will be replaced by a new Ethical, Sustainable Leadership module.

If you complete the current EPSM before the transition, you’ll get credit for the new module, so you won’t need to do both. ACCA currently says the current EPSM should be completed by around mid-July 2027, although the exact deadline is still to be confirmed. Just thought this was worth sharing for anyone currently doing ACCA and planning around the transition.

ACCA September 2026 exams are finally over.

After all the studying, mocks, stress and late nights, what are you doing first?

Sleeping for a whole day? Going out? Watching movies? Or already thinking about the results?

What’s the first thing on your list?

Don't Discuss Your ACCA Exam After Leaving the Exam Hall

Just Finished Your ACCA Exam?

One of the biggest mistakes students make is spending hours discussing answers after leaving the exam hall.

They start asking:

What did you get for Q1?

Did you write this point?

Was my answer correct?

The problem is that this often creates unnecessary stress and self-doubt.

Many students leave the exam feeling confident, then panic after discussing answers with others.

Remember:

#The exam is already over

#You cannot change your answers now

#Different approaches can still earn marks

#ACCA awards professional judgement and application marks too

Instead of analysing every question:

-Take a short break

-Refresh your mind

-Focus on your next paper

-Use your energy where it can still make a difference

Many students who think they failed actually pass.

Many students who felt unsure still achieve great results.

Don't let post-exam discussions affect your confidence for the rest of your exams.
