Chemical at iitb

JEE Advanced results are out, and I’m considering Chemical Engineering at IIT Bombay.
I’d appreciate honest answers from current students, alumni.
How difficult is the coursework compared to branches like EE, ECE, Mechanical, and MnC?
What are the average and top placement opportunities available to Chemical students?
How many students go into core chemical roles versus software, analytics, consulting, finance, etc.?
How hectic is the academic workload and grading?
Are research opportunities and internships good?
How are the professors?
What is the overall culture in the department?
If you had the chance to choose again, would you still pick Chemical Engineering at IIT Bombay?
If I shouldn’t take this branch, suggest better branch.
Looking for both the positives and negatives. Any insights or experiences would be really helpful.

Is IIT Bombay socially difficult if you’re not fluent in Hindi?

Hey everyone, I’m expecting a decent rank in JEE Advanced, probably enough to get into IIT Bombay. Academically, it’s obviously one of my top choices, but I’m honestly a bit worried about the language and cultural barrier(I’m a tamilian).I know partial Hindi — enough for basic communication and survival in North India — but I’m not fluent or comfortable with advanced Hindi conversations. I wanted to ask current students at IIT Bombay: how difficult is it socially if your Hindi isn’t very strong?
I know people don’t always communicate in English casually on campus, so I’m a bit concerned about whether I’d feel left out socially. Is there any sense of alienation or grouping based on language/region, or is the environment generally inclusive? Would you still advise someone like me to join IIT Bombay without worrying too much about this?

I’d really appreciate honest experiences and opinions. Thanks!
