Recs for internet providers?
Just signed a lease, and I am not sure where to start in terms of wifi & internet providers. I do some WFH, so reliable internet would be great.
Thanks in advance!

Can someone remove the person in the background of the photo?
Thank you in advance!
I know ppl are like DON’T RELY ON PREDICTIONS.
but im curious if anyone has any thoughts on whether there will be a contracts essay. it’s definitely not my weakest subject and im totally hoping there won’t be an essay on it or anything….
(with my luck there will be and will be something I am unsure of LOL)
I also am curious if anyone has compiled a sheet of all the essays from the last 10 years and determined the probability of the call being just “explain if there is XYZ,” instead of specifically enumerated question calls; this goes for any subject not just contracts.
(also plz no advice, I am already putting extra time into contracts and contracts essays)
Mostly a vent post, but I am curious if others are feeling the same.
Since starting prep in late-May, I have had numerous days where I am left feeling extremely irritable and pissed off because of studying. I feel awful for my family, because they will simply be trying to make polite conversation at the end of the day and I am just a snappy, crabby bitch to them. I make a point to apologize if I realize that I'm being evil, but that doesn't make my behavior acceptable.
I see a lot of people posting here about feelings of anxiety, stress, and fear. I think those feelings are conveyed the most, and are extremely normal. I don't see a lot of posts about anger though. Maybe I am in a very small minority of people, and that's why. I also may just need to go back to therapy because maybe anger isn't a normal response to this bullshit, idk.
I'm not looking for advice on handling my feelings; I try to cope in healthy ways as permitted by my current prep lifestyle. I go to the gym multiple times a week, and I have a reasonable study schedule (9-5 M-F, 9-Noon on Saturdays, & no studying on Sundays). I just wanted to put these feelings out into the world, and also see if anyone feels similarly.
Goodluck everyone, and may the curve be ever in your favor.
hello!
as the title says, I’m looking to upgrade my current machine. I’m a bit overwhelmed by all of the different options though.
I currently have a Singer MX60, and it’s served me well but I’m confined by the limited stitch options & other issues.
I’d say I’m a confident beginner, I originally learned how to sew about 10 years ago when my grandma taught me as a little girl, but in the last year I’ve gotten back into it and am wanting to make like most of my clothes moving forward.
thank you!
Hello!
Recently I left a comment on a webtoon asking a question/making a criticism about a character design. The author responded, and when I went to comment back, the app said the author had restricted comments for the series.
My question is whether authors can block users entirely from commenting or if it was a general series-wide restriction.
For context, my comment was asking why a character who was canonically black only had dark skin and no other black features (character also had straight hair & blue eyes). I made the point that if the color scheme for the other MC was copy and pasted onto him, he would just be a white character (there’s also something to be said about same face syndrome in webcomics). My main point was that there are no other defining features of him being POC besides the skin tone. I made the suggestion of altering the design to better represent him. I found it relevant to mention bc his race is central to the story, according to the author.
Thxs!
Hi!
As the title says, I’ll be an attorney soon (god willing I pass the July Bar). I just stumbled across this sub, it’s fantastic. Thank each and every one of you for the work you do.
I wanted to ask you for any advice you would give a fresh atty. I am an absolute believer of respect and be kind to all support staff, so I’m wondering what advice you would give outside of that general sentiment.
I’ll be working at a state agency post-bar so if anyone has specific advice geared towards that, I’m all ears.
Thanks!❤️
Studying and ordered Chinese, this was my fortune. Def resonated so I wanted to share. We got this❤️
Hi all!
This pretty piebald momma (I've named her Winnie) and her fawn (The Pooh) have been hanging around the woods near my backyard for the last couple of days. She's been coming pretty close, I'm assuming to protect her fawn who I haven't seen in the yard (just around) but I'm assuming is bedded down somewhere at the edge of the woods, and we have a medium sized pit-lab mix who has an e-fence. The dog has charged Winnie a couple times, and Winnie has nipped and stomped at her sufficiently now that the dog is scared of the very sight of her (she literally turns tail and runs). The dog been terrorizing all deer that dare enter her yard for years, but is all bark and no bite, so I'm personally happy to see nature fight back.
Anyways, thats besides the point. Last night Winnie came up again from the woods because the dog was out, and I was able to get some good pics of her from our deck. But, I was looking at the pics and noticed her ears are looking a little funky. I can't tell if it's scabbing, a massive amount of ticks, or something else entirely. I was hoping to see if anyone had any insight; I just want to make sure it's not something that would affect the local population.
Maybe all whitetail have common ear issues like this; I don't know, I guess I've just never paid close attention to their ears. I've lived in this area forever, and I'm well accustomed to the presence of deer, I'm just paying closer attention to her because of her piebald mutation. For further context, I am located in the Midwestern U.S.
Anyways, I hope this is enough information for someone to provide some insight.
Thanks!
Hi all, and specifically those taking and applying to the IL Bar!
This might be a silly question, but do we need to send in our final law school transcripts? I don't see anything on the admission/C&F portal specifically stating that we need to submit our transcripts, but I just want to be sure I'm not missing anything or misreading info.
Thanks!
For the graded essays, and because it is so early on, are you guys doing open note or closed note?
I’m seeing a lot of people feeling deflated about their scores, and I’m wondering if it is because they are going at it w/o notes.
Made a lot of mistakes since I’m still learning, but I’m overall happy with how it turned out. I like thrifting fabrics but up-cycling stuff can be tough. If anyone has any advice on improvements for future projects, I’m happy to hear them!
My vinyl collection just got a bit bigger! So grateful for my family❤️
Hello!
I (24f) will be relocating to Springfield for work at the end of August. I just finished law school in St. Louis, and will be moving after I take the Bar. It’s just me and my cat :)
I was wondering what areas are the best to live in for young people? I am also curious what the best places are to meet people; I don’t know anyone in Springfield! I like going out, and trying new foods. Im also pretty active so gym recs would be cool.
Any and all advice welcomed!
Thanks in advice!
