I recently fell back in love with saxophone after years of not playing. Practicing every day and learning old jazz standards has been a blast, and I'm looking for stuff that sounds sexy and cool.

Cannonball Adderley's rendition of Willow Weep for Me is my absolute favorite. I listen to it constantly and am slowly transcribing the solos. It's seductive, melancholy, surprisingly playful...I just love it.

I want more. But the Real Book is so huge that I don't know where to start, so I figured I'd ask the community.

I was a young kid when Napster was a thing, which meant song titles were often wrong.

I remember listening to Clint Eastwood for the first time and being confused because it sounded like a mashup. I assumed a rapper had sampled some British song, so I spent hours trying to find "the original." It wasn't until I saw the video on MTV that I realized "Oh wow...this is really just one song."

Anyone else take this journey back in 2001?
