Why does this sound exactly like ADHD?

I grew up in a family where mental health wasn’t really taken seriously, so I always thought I was just lazy or careless. But after watching a video about ADHD while struggling to do assignments, a lot of stuff in my life started making sense.

I’ve switched majors 3 times, dropped classes, procrastinate badly, forget important things people tell me, lose motivation fast, and always choose the easiest/fastest option possible.

It also ruined my last relationship. My ex would get mad because I’d forget to reply or update her when going out even though I genuinely meant to. I kept apologizing and promising I’d fix it, but somehow I kept repeating the same mistakes. She eventually left saying it felt like I didn’t care enough.

Now I’m wondering if I’ve spent years blaming myself for things I might not fully understand.

Title: Got a $15,631 subrogation demand — wasn’t even driving, didn’t know about the accident. Need advice. Back in November 2025 my car was involved in an accident but I wasn’t driving — a friend was. Didn’t even find out it happened until about a month later. Once I found out I tried contacting my insurance multiple times but got basically no response. They called me once asking for a statement and never followed up. Eventually switched insurers because they were pressuring me about my policy. Now I just got a letter from another insurance company saying they paid out $14,631 to their insured plus a $1,000 deductible, totaling $15,631.22 — and they want it by May 14th. I’ve emailed and left voicemails with my old insurer referencing my claim number. Waiting to hear back. My questions: ∙ Can my old insurance deny me for late reporting if I genuinely didn’t know about the accident? ∙ Are they obligated to handle this subrogation demand? ∙ What happens if they deny the claim? ∙ Should I already be looking for a lawyer?
